Some quotes from Misbah on tv ahead of today's match.

The tour could have gone better especially the first Test match and scoring a good total in the 2nd T20I and losing. We were in a good position also in the first T20I but obviously things could have gone better overall. But overall as a team we have been competitive but we have lost both completed games and if you look at it that way, it’s pretty bad but overall we have been competitive.

It’s not easy being coach especially when the results are not going in your favour. As a Coach you need more patience than as a player. I am trying to get confidence into the players, working hard and improving their strengths and getting rid of wherever we lack.

Obviously it’s a learning curve throughout your life and hopefully this team is putting in the hard work and I’m pleased with them especially after the first Test match. The way we lost the first Test and the way the team has fought back in the next couple of Tests and that is something that is pleasing for me as a coach. These young players can develop into a good team in future.

Sometimes this job can be frustrating when things are not going your way and when the opposition just snatches the match away from your hands. Obviously the key for any coach and for me is to stay calm and not show that I am panicking, so it’s important that as coaching staff we stay calm.

Tour has gone exactly as expected, slight surprise was the winning position they managed to get into first test.

Defensive captain and coach.

Expected Azhar Ali to be poor and he lived up to the low standard, expected him to fix his batting problems for the last test match as per Y Khan previously.

Shoaib So slow in 20/20 cost them the last match.

Pakistan need to bring back Mickey Arthur but not the Akmals.

Wasim Akram on Misbah:

"You give any coach in any sport about a year; he has been coach just under a year. Pakistan were ranked No 1 in the world in T20 cricket and, since Misbah took over, we are now ranked No 4.

"In T20 cricket you have to be positive and fearless, like England were on Sunday chasing 196. Things are not on the right track. I saw the other day, the camera was on him and he was holding his head when the chips were down. As a coach, you have to be positive."

Can he please spare us from philosophical statements after philosophical statements?

GOD, When will this torture end?

It seems he's seen the tv pictures and thought, what the hell was I doing!
