Some quotes from Misbah on tv ahead of today's match.
The tour could have gone better especially the first Test match and scoring a good total in the 2nd T20I and losing. We were in a good position also in the first T20I but obviously things could have gone better overall. But overall as a team we have been competitive but we have lost both completed games and if you look at it that way, it’s pretty bad but overall we have been competitive.
It’s not easy being coach especially when the results are not going in your favour. As a Coach you need more patience than as a player. I am trying to get confidence into the players, working hard and improving their strengths and getting rid of wherever we lack.
Obviously it’s a learning curve throughout your life and hopefully this team is putting in the hard work and I’m pleased with them especially after the first Test match. The way we lost the first Test and the way the team has fought back in the next couple of Tests and that is something that is pleasing for me as a coach. These young players can develop into a good team in future.
Sometimes this job can be frustrating when things are not going your way and when the opposition just snatches the match away from your hands. Obviously the key for any coach and for me is to stay calm and not show that I am panicking, so it’s important that as coaching staff we stay calm.
