I want to know if we have found any recent talent regarding fast bowlers, who can really bowl fast, such as the likes of Shoaib Akhtar & Brett Lee.

India has found one for their U19 team, and i was wondering it's been a while since we had found a bowler with genuine fast bowling talent.

These bowlers are pointless in this day and age. Pak not concetrating on express speed now as we've been there and done it. It's India now who are obsessed with express pace as they have never had one.

yes. It's the age of likes of Roman reigns and Aamir Yamin..:yk

meanwhile Curran just proved pace is still lethal today.

India has 3-4 options now who can bowl at 150 in future. They are already hitting high 140's ocassionally.

It's very rare nowadays. I'll take rumman any day of the week over 150 kph Muhammad sami ☺

150 kph consistently is a very tough ask. Many bowlers have had the speed of the above but never became an akhtar or a Lee. I find it funny how many times a bowler touches 90 mph when he's 19-21 and people think hell most likely become express like Lee n akhtar. They are freaks

Really? I need to see clips of these 150+ deliveries and how consistent they are. Can you provide me with links?

meanwhile Amir has consistently hit 147, which is about 90mph if I'm not mistaken. Shaheen Afridi has looked pretty quick in the u19s.

Amir hits that speed only in T20s.

Akhtar, Lee and Tait were a different beast.. They had speed and stamina to keep bowling at that speed for a while.. There is a difference between a bowler like Akhtar or a bowler whose effort ball can reach 150+, remember akhtars effort ball could reach 160+..

I don’t think any country has such bowlers now maybe in future they might have one.

OP asks about 150kph+ fast bowlers from Pakistani domestic cricket and out of nowhere Indians come chest thumping about their bowlers :yk

IMO you either need speed and accuracy or bounce and accuracy. So if a bowler has one of these combinations, he usually has the potential to do well. Having said that in today's age having both speed an accuracy is rare and more likely to break down. Think we overlook the ones who do have bounce and accuracy a bit in domestic because of their speed which makes them look less flashy but gets the job done.

I don't think we have anyone at the 150+ range, but Riaz is fast but isn't exactly accurate. Amir is quick on his day too. Sami's quick but I haven't seen him bowl recently. I'd like to see more of the latter category though, we're missing a guy who can extract good bounce, while Irfan isn't the answer (I don't like a bowler in the team who is usually only effective for first 5 overs or so), he was definitely good at taking wickets with the new ball in ODIs which we lack as of late. And in tests we haven't come close to replacing Asif yet.
