1996 Dec 19, In Pakistan Benazir Bhutto’s husband, the former investment minister, was released from jail, and shortly after charged with the murder of Bhutto’s brother.

Get away with what? He was in jail for years where he was tortured. He may or may not have done the things he is accused of, but no leader except ZAB had to face such torture.

Zardari is Zulfiqar Bhutto's worst blunders. He had his own gang of criminals who did the dirty work for him. If you read about Zulfiqar Mirza and Uzair Baloch, it will explain how Zardari used criminals and gangsters to take over sugar mills and land grabbing.

Hamid Mir in recent interview disclosed that Zardari's gangsters once forcibly sent a business owner to bank with bomb tied to his legs.

Uzair Baloch also admitted paying Rs 1 crore a day to Zardari's sister Faryal Talpur. He is well known gangster and seen many times with Faryal Talpur, Zardari and all top leadership of PPP

Another of Zardari's quote (as per journalist) "If i don't make as much money as Sharif, he will buy everyone around us so we will do the same to compete against him".

His right hand man Zulfiqar Mirza (now ditched him) admitted providing thousands of weapon licences to their boys in Sindh during 2008-2013 including gangsters like Uzair Baloch.

One important person i forgot, Pakistan's biggest property tycoon Malik Riaz (owner of Bahria Town) is very close friend of Asif Zardari, he gifted Bilawal house in Bahria town Lahore (worth around Rs 7-10 Billion).

Now you can imagine why would they gift billions worth properties to Zardari and what do they get in return?

Yes Murtaza was a strong opponent, and was labelled a terrorist for hijacking a plane full of army generals. Benazir did the right thing by opposing his extremist methods of Murtaza's and starting an armed rebellion agiainst General Zia.

interesting discussion
1. Zardari was not ZAB's worst blunder. Benazir get married way after ZAB's hanging.
2. Musharraf wash the Benazir's murder place on Zardari's orders. So military dictator was listening the orders of someone. And by the way didn't that make Musharraf also accomplice.
3. Zulfiqar Mirza was so bad but he is now in Tehreek Insaf.
4. Uzair Baloch is in ranger's custody who are working so sincerely in Karachi but they are not arresting Faryal Gohar.
5. Murtaza Bhutto was declared terrorist by Zia ul Haq when he hijack a PIA plane and killed one person. Benazir bring him back and let him contest election. He won and become member of sind assembly. There was a power struggle between the two for PPP leadership but Murtaza was popular only in Sind while Benazir was acclaimed leader in whole Pakistan. Murtaza was killed in a police encounter.
