Difficult to say what will stop teams from visiting Pakistan in future- security or poor ground infrastructure. Pakistan needs to invest if it wants to host test matches. Else be happy with odd T20s.

If Pak had been hosting for the past 10 years then I’d be more frustrated; however as this is the first match hosted after 15 years in Pindi I had a feeling Pakistan would be rusty and have no real resources/contingency to counter the rain.

The bad luck is, only this week rain was predicted; otherwise any week of Dec looked promising. Match was also meant to be hosted in Oct but Pak had to split the series; so we must look at the wider context rather of how important it was for the fans to see “trailer” of International cricket in Pindi.

With a potential draw, Sri Lanka cricket team is losing some valuable points. But, not much they can do. Next test is anybody's game since it is day-nigtht test. Depending on the time of the play each team gets to bat, the match could swing quickly in one team's favor. Pakistan cricket team could punch above their weight and surprise Sri Lanka.

Not sure why Sami Aslam is not opening for Paksitan. He seemed a very good batsman. I don't remember seeing Fawad Alam in a test match. But in ODI, he was good. Hope he comes good in tests too.

Hope SL team was not forced to listen this. No doubt security has improved , but this could be another reason for teams to think bout coming to Pakistan.

I just came here to write this.
In the world of the test championship if 1st innings has not been completed going into day 5 and has not had 98 overs in total thus far ( this is the max overs you will get in the last day), then the 2nd and 3rd innings should be forfeited automatically and we carry on from where we left off ask when the first inning is completed we go straight to the 4th innings.

That would mean we have a full house 2maw and game is not dead
