2018 promises to be an exciting year for us cricket lovers despite the fact there is no International tournament as I guess the plan for a 2018 World T20 never materialized. We have India touring teams outside of Asia, we have Pakistan going to New Zealand and a lot more.

What are your predictions for the cricketing year 2018? Will be fun looking at this thread this time next year.

My predictions:

India to lose their overseas tours but to give a good fight
Hasan Ali to stay as number 1 bowler
A new world record for highest ODI + T20 score (both individual and team)

Yup you are 100% right, that is the reason for him to only score 17000 international runs at 50+ average. Also only Jimmy Anderson and England can bowl outswingers in world cricket. This is the guy who averages 13 in England. Perhaps you should be more realistic and predict that he will score a 50 in at least one innings or average 20+

Yup you are 100% right, that is the reason for him to only score 17000 international runs at 50+ average. Also only Jimmy Anderson and England can bowl outswingers in world cricket. If other international bowlers could bowl outswingers, Virat would not have even made 100 runs in his career. You are absolutely right.

He seemed to be losing his marbles the second someone praises Kohli. He may have some personal grudge against him. But on serious note, Kohli will do much better in England this time around and I predict him be top scorer in the series.

Pakistan to break into top #4 in ODIS Rankings.
Fakhar Zaman will be found out and have troubled scoring freely.
Hassan to have another impressive year with bowling.
B Azam will have another hit year in LOIs, however his struggle in test will continue.
Pakistan to lose test series in England 1-0 or 2-0.
Pakistan to be runner up in Asia cup 2018.

Mumbai Indians to retain IPL and become champions for the 4th time.

Kohli will be top scorer in IPL



PCB to continue filing law suit against BCCI and remind them about MoU.

I was right about India giving a good fight but losing the series (SA). Let's see if the same happens in Australia, although they may actually win that now if Smith and Warner aren't available for the Aussies.

I don’t think Hafeez is gone completely yet because he could well come back during one of the one day series in the near future.

But he’s batting well right now so fingers crossed.

Out of all these predictions I thought the one about hafeez was the least likely to happen but it looks like it is for now.

Plus I also predicted that Imad Wasim would dropped in a post that’s directly bellow my original post.

Now it all depends on Root and Kohli. Kohli could well get his 3rd hundred in the next test but I don’t think Root will be stepping down anytime soon after this series win. But you never know a series loss or two and things can quickly change.

Well after all that seems you weren't right about Hafeez Back in the T20I and Test team, expecting him to be picked for the NZ ODI's as well. I also thought his career was over but what a resurgence!
