S.AFrica hammered west indies by 8 wkts in the 1st odi. will w.i bounce back to level the series... or will S.A make it a bumper double wkend?

place updates on here please.
 
ODIS starts @ 1430 when pakistan play west indies.

Thought I would be able to watch the entire games... Means will miss the explosive 15 overs and Afridi

well it depends waheed..better hope pak win toss and bat second so you can watch afridi!
 
IT's not too bad, only one game mid week.
I'm sure I can arrange to work from home on that day ;-) :D

oh well i have loads of 0600am-1400pm shifts comimg up so i shud be at home in time
 
I just wish schools could close early when cricket was on. Then all my problems would be solved.
 
If you have anything to do with Pak cricket - why not call in a general strike ?

41-4 at the moment. The WI batting machine hasnt fired at all. Credit to the SA bowlers though. That delivery to get Sarwan was very very impressive. Remember Sarwan has a 48 average in ODIs. Thats better than anyone in world cricket!

Ive still got faith! Bravo and Chanderpaul keep batting until the 35-40th over. Enter Dwayne Smith and get a quickfire 100 and there we go a competitive total!
 
Bowling has not been that amazing, yet west indies manaed to somehow get themselves to 66-5

This reminds me of indias batting at last day bangalore, over cautious and losing wickets.

I realised this run rate is slower than Bangladesh's test rate

imagine what will happen if we lose to this team :( ....
 
if a team has lost only 7 wkts and has a run rate of 3 runs after 50 overs... they have only themselves to blame.
 
The thing with the WI is there batsmen are more unpredictable than Pakistan and that takes some doing.

They can be absoluately superb one day and fold to 54 allout the next. The no. of times they have been bowled out for less than 150 is amazing in the last couple of years, but you get batmen like Gayle getting 300+, W.Hinds getting 200+, not to mention Lara, Sarwan, and Chanderpaul.

There bowling is there weakness but there batsmen let them down, time and time again, by just being lazy and not applying themselves.

They lose so many wickets to the new ball it is amazing, probably stats will show that Chanderpaul finds himself at 30-3 more often than Inzy does for Pakistan.

It just depends on the day which batting line up turns up on the day. Pakistan should not be over confident, but bowling a good containing line and length backed up by good fielding and good field placements, will put the west indies batsmen under severe pressure, and they are more likely than not likely to self capitulate.
 
South Africa will chase down this total in about 15 overs if they bat like yesterday
 
west indies always struggle batting 1st! if i was inzi and win the toss... always put them in!
