Australia 194/4 after 44 overs

Mike Hussey 65* David Hussey 10*

Should be looking at maybe a total of 240 here.

3 quick wickets lost and Aus are 204/7 and W.I could make a game of this now.

Windies messed it up at the end, especially as there was 2 more deliveries left.

What a loser mentality this Sammy has. Last match after winning he was just "glad that we won one" and here he refused a single.

That single was on. All Sammy had to do was run as if his life depended on it. Had he run from the start he would have made it. Poor stuff. Defeat from the jaws of victory.

Why take a risky single with 2 balls left to face? Dumb idea to run.

Tie from the jaws of victory?

WI giving good fight in this series.

Much better to have ODI's as a warm up to the Tests, this is a good build up.

We are stuttering, not a very good team but still number 1 by a long way. The rest of you are rubbish at ODI no offence :D

Will be really fun, if WI produce these kind of pitches in Test as well.

Pressure will be on Bishoo to perform straight away in the tests now or Narine will have his place. I just can't see how they will fit two spinners in their test team though, they'd have to drop Edwards, Sammy or play DJ Bravo somehow.

Barath
Braithwaitte
Kirk Edwards
DM Bravo
Chanderpaul
Samuels
Ramdin
Sammy
Roach
Fidel Edwards
Bishoo

Westendies gifted that match to Ausies for a tie!

At the end they did.

But they did well to dig out of a big, big hole at 5-75 chasing 230 on a crumbling pitch (a few balls went through the surface).

They are doing ok considering that the WI are basically playing with one hand tied behind their back (replace walking wicket Powell with Gayle and they are much stronger).

I think Narine will/should play esp. if pitches suiting spinners. Also, Bishoo will play. They will surely play Castro, if he is fit. They will sit out Roach.

DJ bravo can play, when Chander retires.

Yeah if Narine keeps it up they have to play him somehow.

Thing is Roach has bowled great (on unsuited pitches for fast bowling) so far too, been a real handful. It would be a terrible time to drop him now.

I am not sure DJ Bravo is test quality with either bat or ball.

what a balls up by sammy yesterday! Pretty much cost his team the game and a 2-1 series lead. Its been a fanatastic low scoring, scrappy series so far but W.I cant afford to make such mistakes when trying to win games!
