.V.V.S.Laxman
.Doug Walters
.Alan Border
.Steve Waugh.
.Asif Iqbal
Gary was the absolute king posesseing every element of a perfect batsmen He combined attacking agression with great technical kill taking batting domination to it's supreme peak.V.V.S.Laxman gave some of test cricket's finest batting exhibitions blending the organization and planing of an architect with the originality of a musical composer. No great batsmen of his era was equally good in a run chase or batting with the tail.V.V.S.took batting artistry to regions of the sublime. One of the great match-winners of his era.Doug Walters was master on bouncy Australian tracks and major component of Ian Chappell's world -beating team of the 1970's.Posessed great flair for stroke making but unable to adapt to the seaming English conditions. In 1968-69 scored 699 runs in 4 tests against West Indies, including 3 centuries and a highest score of 242.Although best at no 5 for a period Border batted at no 6 and gave some of his best batting displays ,particularly in difficult conditions. His 2, 150's in a single test at Lahore in 1980 on a turning track testified his great skill to overcome any odds.Resembled a surgeon performing an operation on bad wickets.Steve Waugh was virtual y a duplicate of Border but more explosive. Asif Iqbal became a truly great batsmen late in his career and was revelation on the 1976-77 tour of Australia when his unbeaten 152 and 120 at Sydney enabled Pakistan to draw their first rubber on Australian soil. His 135 at Kingston in 1977 was a true classic against a great bowling attack and his later unbeaten 135 at Perth. After Sober's retirement Asif became the best no.6 batsmen in the world, also playing some great knocks in WSC cricket.
