What are your thoughts of the overall batting of Pakistan this tournament?

Azhar and Fakhar played out of there skins. Hafeez played well enough to shut all of us up and Babar was disappointing.

Apart from that bowling did most of the heavy lifting like all Pakistani big wins.

zamans been a stand out Totally changed the complexion of our batting

The likes of babar and azam althougj have done well in terms of avge need to improve their strike ratsz

Professor is the surprise there His innings today ws very very good

Pretty good overall. Yeah shaky at the start, but semi final and final it was brilliant. I'm sure in the semi final we would have chased 300 if needed to, we didn't look troubled at all. Sarfraz hardly a chance to bat, but when he was needed he delivered.

My ranking for them would be Fakhar>Sarfraz>Hafeez>Azhar=Babar>Amir>Malik>Imad.

Zaman has been amazing and Azhar also stepped up his game.

If Fakhar can work on his leg-side game (especially against pacers) he will become an even better batsman.

Zaman an absolute hero.

Hafeez was okay.

The rest are shambles. I expect a poor SR from Azhar, but what is Babar Azam doing? Going backwards.

Fakhar has been a revelation but Babar and Azhar's SRs need to improve.

Very important we don't rest on our laurels and think everything is fine with this ODI team - the batting is still a work in progress.

I'd like to see another explosive opener partner Fakhar, such as Sahibzada Farhan, and a lower-order hitter.

Babar Azam was disappointing, Azhar was good for what I expected of him, Hafeez redeemed himself in the last two games, Malik was terrible and Zaman was amazing throughout. Need to bring in Talat for Malik and Farhan for Shehzad.

Here's India's batting in the Champions Trophy.

Just thought we'd compare both, and the clear standout between both sides is the strike rate.

Zaman owned everyone and everything bowled at him.

What a performance.

Fakhar Zaman, hamein aap per fakhar hai :)

Fakhar the mannnn!

Hafeez good on paper but went missing mostly. The least you could expect a so called senior to do was to hit a few.

Sarfaraz and Amir played clutch innings when it was needed.

So for me in batting

Fakhar
Sarfaraz
Azhar
Amir

Malik and Hafeez well...

The bowling all of them world class!

Shoaib Malik should be dropped for good. Even the last Champions trophy
he performed poorly. I don't understand how this guy makes into the team.

He is only good at bashing minnows.

What does it matter. The final showed the difference fakhar was a top notch above all.

It shows that despite putting up 338, we had to rely on a stellar innings from Fakhar and a smart cameo from Hafeez. Our other batsmen have to be better with the bat, and have a higher SR to make 250s into 300s.

Its no rocket science we all know that. Azhar bats like that. Babar at 3 with a 75 to 80 SR is fine as he is young and can if he puts in the hard work only better.

Going forward i hope we say good bye to

Azhar
Hafeez
Malik

Other point was india will be the first to say all the stats dont matter as they lost.

Fakhar Zaman had the 6th most runs in the tournament. Azhar was 8th.

Fakhar had the 2nd most fours. Azhar was 8th.

Hafeez had the 5th most sixes. Fakhar was 6th.

Azhar was tied for the most 50s. Fakhar was 6th.

Hafeez scored the 4th fastest fifty of the tournament. Fakhar had the 5th fastest fifty.

Fakhar had the 5th highest score.

Imad had the 5th highest strike rate. Fakhar was 6th.

Great stats.
