People always talking about how great Williamson and Morgan are as captains, I agree they are great. But Finch is never talked about how good his captaincy has been in the last 2 years. He will try to look for wickets and is willing to take a risk such as bowling a bowler out early to get a wicket. He also talks well and rarely do I see him get flustered or animated.

A world class LO batter and an outstanding LO captain.

He has generally been good but was pretty poor in the last game in my opinion. Won the toss and batted first in T20, only bowled 2 overs of the so called death over specialist Richardson and then deployed a leggy Zampa against left Moen Ali who finalized the game in that over.

Not a bad captain but Morgan and Williamson are much better LOI captains in my opinion.

Woeful- the other day he gave a leg spinner the penultimate over.
Today he gave Hazelwood a 3rd over in a row don’t care how good the bowler is you don’t give him 3 in a row in t20, batsman he set up waiting to pounce.

1 bad game means he is woeful lol.

Hazelwood was bowling well so that is why he continued to bowl him. The way to slow down momentum in T20s is by picking up wickets.

Batter is the correct word because it is an insult to the art of batting to call this hack a batsman.

He's brilliant against teams like Pakistan who have poor bowling but against quality bowling he often looks like a back and struggles to spend a lot of time out there.

I must say he's a very strong character though and does seem like a good leader.

Yeah, as Bhaijaan said, he is brilliant against poor bowling attacks like Pakistan but struggles against quality bowling attacks of India and England.

I won't really call him a great batter, good captain though, probably third best going around in LO.

Struggles against England and India?
Averages 48 and 44 against those teams.

If Finch is still in the team by 2023, Australia have no chances of winning that world cup.

Finch is probably top 3 opener in ODIs with Rohit and Bairstow. Dont know how he is limited. Can play a long innings and hits the ball as hard as anyone in the World does

If the ball isn't moving

Australia need a 50 averaging ODI batsmen, their bowling is top quality but batting is non reliable.

Warner is excellent, Finch is good, Maxwell is Boom or Bust but they want either Smith or Marnus to average close to 50 in ODIs.

He played some good strokes in his short innings today:

Ultimately he still hasn't managed to convert a start:

Former captain Aaron Finch has said that The Australian batsmen have to change the mindset against spin.

Australia's batsmen lacked aggression against India's world-class spin attack during their six-wicket defeat to the hosts in their World Cup opener and will have to change their mindset to be more effective, said Aaron Finch.

He said that it is a fact that the Australian batsmen could not put any pressure on India, they need to change their mindset.

Finch said the defeat was not fatal as Australia prepare to face South Africa on Thursday, the mood around Australia is still optimistic with the group stage of the Nogames, you can afford a bit of slip-up here and there and it's not deadly.
