Asian Development Bank (ADB) will provide $7.1bn as financing assistance to help Pakistan in achieving inclusive and sustainable growth over the next three years, a senior official said.
According to ADB, the economy of Pakistan is facing crisis and necessary action must be taken for the development of the private sector, trade promotion and institutional reforms.
ADB is also re-engaging in education, health, social safety net through income support program. ADB officials, during the visit, met with the finance minister, planning and development minister and education minister as well as other government officials and development partners.
The senior officials of ADB said that the 100-day plan of the new government was marvelous. While more taxes will be taxed soon from the government so that financial crises could be reduced.
