This is similar to how some Kashmiris celebrate when Pakistan beats India.

No, totally different, Kashmiris at least feel some sort of connection with Pakistan evidenced by their flag waving.

But going back to the tweet, hahahaha, how pathetic and such a non event really.

Its not really a big deal, indians also celebrated, its normal you dont want to see the rival team win a championship. Let the afghans celebrate for Sri Lanka, who knows when their own team will win a championship haha

Dont know why a thread has been made. Afghanistan is an independent country they can support anyone they want.

We support anyone that beats india...

Anyways, the op is an indian and he made the thread to spread hate.. there is nothing to discuss here.

Whats next, pakistanis celebrated india get kicked out of asia cup in the first round?

Not even these tweets are true. Anyone can upload some celebration and tweet it as happy for someone's loss

Afghanistan and Pakistan have a lot in common. They should be best friends if you think of it.

And yet some Pakistanis feel that Afghans are our brothers and we need to support them.

Afghanis don't believe in the Ummah do they?

Indians just can't digest the loss against Pakistan haha. Absolutely love the fact that we sent them packing twice, once by beating them in a crucial match and another one by hitting two sixes of the tournament which sent back two teams homes. Indians going gaga over social media like this thread poster makes no difference, we know they are unable to overcome the loss against Pakistan :)

Afghans in Afghanistan can support whoever they like, that is not even an issue lol.

Disappointing from the Afghans.

Relation will become better at some point hopefully.

The concept of Ummah doesn’t exist in reality.

It does exist. Its not allowed to grow because of things like nationalism, patriotism and jingoism. When people sincerely identify as muslims first and foremost and don't give importance to colonially drawn up borders, the concept of ummah will grow like wildfire. That is what the great powers of the world fear. Hence they ensure that concepts like nationalism and patriotism are constantly fed down the throats of the masses.

There's no evidence that this is related to Pakistan's loss. It's just a video showing one person dancing and people gathered around him. Could be dancing to literally anything. Don't fall for propaganda.

Which is exactly my point. Ummah doesn’t exist because of the reasons you mentioned.

I have no issue with this at all. We can all support whoever we want. It is natural for many Afghan's to support Sri Lanka or Pak's opponents when we have backed the Afghan Taliban who they see as their oppressors. I have always said that this Ummah rubbish does my head in! Many out of Afghanistan's 39 million population does support Pakistan no doubt about it. The few million hating on Pak do not represent the entire country.

That is too broad a statement. There will be Afghans and Pakistanis who fervently believe in th Ummah, and there will also be those who don't believe in it and want to fight Pakistanis to please Hindutvas. The Muslim world is made up of all sorts, there will be some who are religious, and even some like yourself who pay tributes to the royal family of Great Britain, and that is because you are a loyal servant to the Crown.

As a poster above says, is this even purporting be about what its supposed to be about? Could be a wedding party or anything. There doesn't appear to be any indicators?

I could never imagine dancing around like some douche bag even at my own team's victory never mind celebrating someone else's defeat lol.

Nothing like Gautam Gambir waving the Sri Lankan flag afterwards. Also when I think Rizwan skied a shot Ravi Shastri shouts out "yes! This is high in the air!.....then retracted and said "but it will be caught".

Well the P in Pakistan stands for propaganda, it is our national sport. I will not be surprised if this is an out-of-context video. However, you wouldn’t put it past Afghan fans to celebrate Pakistan’s humiliation with fervor.

They are passionate people who love cricket, and they are bound to enjoy Pakistan’s humiliation considering how racist we are to them.

Moreover, the younger generation of Afghans probably don’t think about how Pakistan destroyed their country, but history never forgets.

One only has to look at the moniker of the OP to get your answer, and the usual dancing line of pom pom girls who are celebrating in this thread.

Did I miss something? What did Afghanistan win? Did they actually win something?

They seem to tag along to other people's wins. It's a shame they think this way and have so much hate for Pakistani's. I don't understand why, I personally have shown them nothing but respect for Afghans but this attitude is absolutely not on.

Chalo, at least some people are over the moon and their heads are in the clouds with this result.

I have attended matches where India has played teams outside Pak openly supporting the opponent. Indian fans knowing I am Pak have never complained or got the 'ump over it!:hasan If I can do this then Gautam and Ravi Shastri can support Pak's opponents too. As for Afghan's they are just jealous about never being a force in any Sport other then buzkashi. We are talking about a people who call dragging around dead animal's to be a Sport. It tells us everything about their mentality.

The biggest slap was on the face was on the BCCI!. So much money yet India were trying to qualify with Afghanistan for a top two finish:))):))):))):))):))) Then like always the Afghan boys deliberately lose to them to secure their IPL contracts for next season:))):))):))) I LMAO!

Always sad, in a desperate way, when a loser celebrates a defeat of a team that has recently beat them.

I always think that it's a very embarrassing when we celebrate India's defeats at the hands of someone else; especially if India's recently beaten us.

However, for Afghanistan, this is very much expected. They have only one passion in cricket; to beat Pakistan... that's it. So, anyone who beats Pakistan will give them joy, regardless of what their own team achieves.

This is a fanbase that is driven by hatred and hostility towards Pak. Let them be because with this kind of mindset, their cricket ain't going anywhere.

Pakistan and Afghanistan don't like each other. So its natural for Afghanistan to celebrate when Pakistan lose. Plenty of people in Pakistan were celebrating when the Taliban won the war, even though personally they are not mullahs.

After India, Afghanistan is the team I dislike the most in cricket, and I would always root against them, unless their losing would adversely effect Pakistan.

It does not matter if they are young or old, rich or poor, liberal or mullah, they all blame Pakistan for their problems. However if they do some self reflection, they will realize they brought it upon themselves.

No its natural to want to a country who you have a rivalry with to lose.

I dont give a damn what they celebrate, just dont be in your neighbours face is my message to them.

No one said that it's not natural. Most, if not all, Indians do not want Pakistan to win.

However, that doesn't mean that celebrating the other's loss when they've recently beaten you is not embarrassing... Your primary concern should be your own team, so celebrating the loss of a better team especially after getting your own a** handed to you by them is just plain stupid and desperate. Any self-respecting fan wouldn't do that.

Afghans hate Pakistan. If you see it from their angle it makes sense. Pakistan user. Afghanistan for decades.

No one found the videos of India and Bangladesh celebrating after the loss? lol

The video does not in way show it is recent or has any connection with asia cup. Could be a 2021 or 2019 video. Clearly its a propoganda video to promote more abyss in the relations and you know what it seems to be working.
People questioning what Afghanistan has achieved. One just needs to watch their last 4 or 5 matches with Pakistan to see how narrowly a win was squeezed out from Afghanistan. They managed to scare the crap out of Pakistani fans in last few games and they day they win is just a next game away

This is pathatic n shameful....

I am up for this if Afghanistan beats Pakistan even.. understandable bcz their loyalty is with Afghanistan.. which is fine

but if they celebrate Pakistan losing to any other country, they should be looked at ... abs shameful
