ICC should really invest in Afghan and Ireland , they should be send to play against A teams of other major teams.

Afghanistan has performed pretty good in this tournament. They were good against us, beat Bangladesh and have had a strong start to this game.

Let's hope they don't falter towards the end like they did against us.

I'd like to see them make a match out of this win.

Could have been more damage for Srilanka if Hamid Hasan was playing, will always state, he is the most superior fast bowler they have. Hope he plays against India, will leave that batting line up clueless

Afghanistan are bowling well but Malinga and Mendis will blow them away their batsmen have never faced anything like that. Sangakkara is the big fish yet another fifty, whats a asia cup he is having. Afghanistan have been very impressive tho.

Need to get mathew now once he is out pf the way than there is a real chance

Pakistan's influence on Afghan cricket becomes quite clear after you watch them field.

Afghan team has really impressed me this tournament.

Again Dawlat proving to be quite expensive, Hamid Hasan is a far superior bowler and is a big big loss to this Afghan bowling side. Dawlat is quick and aggressive but does take a lot of treatment

If Afghan batting clicks they chase this, but I am expecting more tentative batting from naturally strong hitters once again

How long is Hamid hassan out for? WHat injury has he got?

The highest runs Afghanistan has scored against test playing nation(excluding Bang and Zim) is 206. Lets hope they break this record and defeat SL.

Maybe the batting is just not good enough.
no player wants to bat slow. Perhaps sometimes the bowling is just better.

Key for Afghanistan is to keep it close until the 40th over and then go for it. Stanikzai, Mangal, and Nabi will need to step up. Stanikzai is slow initially but he is the best equipped to keep his wicket in tact. Lets see how it goes. Will be tough against SL though. They are a very good bowling and fielding unit.

No you can tell by their body language, they normally slog at everything, they are being overly tentative, Shahzad only plays one way and so far he barely slashes at anything, Rubel Hossain is not a quality bowler :))

We saw what happened when they took initiative.

Afghanistans batting crumbles under pressure generally. Therfore im gonna predict Shehzad out for less than 20 within 7 overs and Afghanistan to lose by about 40-50 runs....

This, he should play like this, if he gets out fair enough, Malinga ends up bowling a wide next ball.

His strength is his hitting not his defensive side, if he gets bogged down, he will get out
