The following Ground Rules need to be followed in ALL posts on TPS
If you flout these Rules then the following sanctions will apply:
1. Your posts will be deleted
2. You will be put on a restricted posters list which means that each of your posts will be first checked by a Mod before it appears on the forums
3. If we dont see an improvement in quality, then a temporary ban will follow which could become permanent if posting issues persist.
Objectives of TPS:
To talk about non-cricket items in a civilized manner and without resorting to threats, insults, or derogatory remarks about anyone's background, race, family or religion.
The Rules:
1. Address the issue which is clearly laid out in the opening post of the thread. If not clear, ask the poster what he means before you reply. Off topic posting, trolling and spamming prohibited.
2. Do NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES refer to any poster's family in any post. You wouldn't like others to do that, so you shouldn't do either.
3. Do NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES mention your own family background or any details which could expose your true identity; Whether you do it to show that you are wealthy/connected/not well off etc - it does not matter. We will not allow such posts to stay and be used by you or by any other to prove a point or demean each other.
4. Addressing other posters in a patronizing tone, make fun of their age, experience etc - Each poster is equally important, each poster's views regardless of their age have the same validity.
So calling other posters by names or referring to them as "kids, beta, uncle, chotay" etc are all things we do not want to see on our forums.
5. Absolutely no incitements to violence, no racism, no Islamophobia, no antisemitism, no Holocaust denial, no personal insults, no deliberately provocative baiting, no direct or indirect threats. None of these things will be tolerated at all. Sanctions 1 / 2 / 3 as we deem appropriate will be implemented if any of your posts contain this content.
6. Mods will actively be monitoring user activity to ensure that users of the Time Pass and Sports section are also active on the Cricket forum. Accounts cannot be exclusively created for, or exclusively used on, the Time Pass and Sports section.
7. When discussing new episodes of TV shows and new films, movies, etc — please do not post spoilers unless they are explicitly hidden from view in your posts with the wraparound spoiler tags:
