By a whisker I would back West-Indies -Australia XI who have better specialist batsmen and bowlers ,with more match-winners.Rest of the World team has many more all-rounders,better openers and more batting depth. The math winning killer instinct of Gilchrist,Warne,Viv,Bradman and Lillee could prove a handful even against the likes of Barry,Sunny,Wasim,Imran and Hadlee.Man to man rest of the world could look stronger with their 3 great allrounders but team does not equal the agressive spirit of their opponents.

1. Barry Richards
2. Graeme Smith
3. Jacques Kallis
4. Sachin Tendulkar
5. Graeme Pollock
6. Kumar Sangakkara (wk)
7. Mike Procter
8. Imran Khan (c)

It’s a bit of a redundant exercise because it has already happened.

Most of the players in all three teams played in the late 1970’s. This is no coincidence: they were toughened up in Kerry Packer’s World Series Cricket and men like Imran Khan and Viv Richards became the players they were BECAUSE the SuperTests were the highest level of cricket ever played.

And the World XI won both years.

I love your threads, but I’d really encourage you to go through the SuperTest scorecards. They actually answer most of the questions that most of us have.

Mind you, consider this all-time West Indies Alone Team:

1. Greenidge
2. Haynes
3. Lara
4. Richards
5. Weekes
6. Sobers
7. Walcott (wk)
8. Marshall
9. Garner
10. Roberts
11. Gibbs

The only problem is that I can’t fit in either captain - Sir Frank Worrell or Sir Clive Lloyd.

Difficult to predict but I'm guessing on Australian conditions. Australia- West Indies all time will win. And vice versa in subcontinent.

In fact, I reckon I can do a West Indies Knights Eleven that would beat everyone else.

1. Sir Gordon Greenidge
2. Sir Conrad Hunte
3. Sir Richie Richardson
4. Sir Viv Richards
5. Sir Frank Worrell (c)
6. Sir Clive Lloyd
7. Sir Garfield Sobers
8. Sir Clyde Walcott (wk)
9. Sir Anderson Roberts
10. Sir Curtly Ambrose
11. Sir Wes Hall

And I left out Sir Everton Weekes!

Drop Qadir and bring in Murali.

Also, Kallis at 5.

Hands down West Indies-Australia.

Why would you pick Qadir when you have Murali to use?

There are SOOOO many better spinners than Qadir (who was great in Pakistan sure).

Chandra, Bedi, Prasanna, peak Mustaq Ahmed (during his peak he was as good as an ATG), Kumble, etc.

I mean in what world does this logic makes sense?

Same thing you did for one of the previous lists where you picked Yasir ahead of Lyon, Ashwin, Jadeja, Herath.

It's not like it's a 50-50 case. It's like a 99-1 decision.

So I would like to know your reasoning.

I forgot Derek Underwood, Swann.

Damn lol.

And I tell you what India Pakistan all time XI actually has better chance of beating the WI Aus all time. The intensity in one team between the two will be massive and that team is Indo-Pak test XI.
