Recently some young players change the complexion of team We found some excellent players in various department.
But we don't have a single off spinning all-rounder other than Hafeez at the moment. But we need an off spinning all-rounder as it could hugely balance the team as a bowling and batting unit.
Some options as per as my knowledge....
Iftikhar ahamed
Agha Salman.
Is there any proper option??

pakistan is doing very well without hafeez . There is no room for him. If you play him you have to sacrifice a youngster.

If you need off spin , Malik can bowl a few balls.

Ideally it would be better if we get a genuine off-spinner. We already have Shadab who is effective and good in batting. If we go for Iftikhar Ahamed or Agha Salman, they are not much effective as a bowler. But I guess right now we haven't got much choices of off-spinner.

An all rounder adds better value

Unless your a world class offie you need to be able to bat a bit too

for me, a quality legspinner is always better to have vs an offspinner.
IF you want someone to dart in a few over with pretend offspin, you can always get one of the batsmen to do it.
Hafeez is a chucker so his brand of offspine doesnt really count.
Pakistan is far better served with putting that responsibility (of a spin allrounder) on Shadab and look for more players with a similar level of confidence.
Pakistan's experiment with off-spin allrounder (i.e malik and hafeez) has been very poor.

Agha Salman has potential but both his batting and bowling are underdeveloped at the moment. Maybe after 1-2 more PSL.

The offspinner has to be a good off spinner. Cannot be an offspinner just for the sake of being an offspinner.

He is hardly used as an offie in PSL. Plus to be honest, PSL can't prepare any guy for Tests for the sheer temperament that is required. In ODI's I agree Agha Salman can be developed but for that he needs a lot of grooming in PSL, international cricket and NCA.

Please don't mess off. Combination of the team is good and on personal wish don't throw it. If someone earns his position in the team then its good. Otherwise we had a good combination of fast & slow to left & right.

What is the need for an off spinner now a days? Except Moeen Ali ( he too plays for England as a batsman who can bowl tight off spinner), no top team has one ....so we're good without them..

Not sure if you need one but a bowling allrounder who bowls offspin is probably one of the most boring type of cricketers out there, unless I'm proven wrong.

pathetic Mickey, he was the guy who was booted out of Australian coaching role. And here he is destroying our team. We still miss Hafeez, Akmals, Sohail Tanvir.

I hope a change in government and Mickey will be sacked

You're also forgetting Mohammad Sami, Wahab Riaz, and Ahmed Shehzad

I don't think Pakistan needs any more all rounders. You already have Faheem and Shadab who are good bats. You have Hasan Ali as well who can tonk a little bit in the final overs. Shoaib Malik can roll his arm over if needed. So there is enough bowling options in the X1.

Fully expect Professor to make a comeback as player, captain and coach in upcoming series.

People might not agree with this but Imad Wasim could fit really into the test team. He definitely possesses potential as a lower-order batsman and his bowling very much relies on discipline and accuracy rather than spin, something that has made Kumble and Jadeja very successful in Asia and something that would work as a refreshing counter-point to a natural-spinner like Yasir. I would actually say Imad's style is very similar to Jadeja.

Obviously this depends on him regaining full-fitness and playing some amount of FC cricket but it's something worth trying.

Mickey, I know you go these threads from time to time, consider this idea.
