Royal family sent their plane for Shahbaz Sharif yesterday and according to reports Nawaz is also leaving for KS in next 48 hours and some ministers and powerful people from Estb are also expected to visit KSA in next few days.

Last time NRO happened in drawing rooms of UAE it looks like this time it's going to happen in Royal Palace of KSA?

Congratulations Pakistanis after intense negotiations between Saudis and Turks, Showbaz Sharif has been selected has your next PM. Alhumdulilah

But but but big bad army :sree

I heard that the UAE government is refusing to accommodate all of them after their corruption so they are trying to shift it all to Saudi Arabia.

Turk PM is also there..

What NRO can they get anyway? His disqualification is not being reversed. There would be outrage. And I doubt he will ever see an inside of a jail cell NRO or no NRO. He has no leverage, what can he possibly give anyone in return for leaving the country?

Maybe you're right too but just my thoughts. :ashwin

Bhai... think of it this way. SS will win next elections which will most likely be rigged again. With renewed electoral power SS will bring bill in the parliament to do away with 62/63 and give his brother relief. PML-N then may withdraw a candidate from somewhere and let NS run for by-polls and be PM again.

Here is a twist our NSA Nasir Janjua met na ehal Nawaz Sharif and had a 5 hours long meeting today. One should ask in what capacity he met Nawaz and what was the briefing about? Something big is cooking up so Imran should be careful with his next move these guys are lining up. Looks like external and internal powers are coming to rescue Sharifs and help them to stay in power.

I can bet my house on it once SS grab the power he will make sure Nawaz stay far away from politics.

Even establishment knows if IK comes to power onki bhi khair nahi...

I don't think SS will ever allow NS to be in control if he can get the chance.

Only NRO I can see is make sure Nawaz does not go to jail and have all his family leave Pakistan. Any NRO involving PMLN becoming forever rulers then there will be chaos and bloodshed by the people.

Syed1, maybe you're right.....Saad Rafiq has also left.

As good hosts can the Saudis please keep Nawaz and Zardari family in KSA like they kept Saad Hariri. Force them to resign from all official positions and then pass them to UAE or Bahrain.

So Mamoon and others are always missing from these threads but find it more important to question why Tareen's son got ticket.

Does this strengthen democracy when Saudis get involved?

Why did Saudis send plane for a Chief Minister from one province?

Why did NSA Lt General Nasir Janjua meet disqualified Nawaz Sharif for 5 hours? Can you imagine if Imran Khan meets someone even for 5 minutes?

Almost every talkshow discussed this and most analysts believe some sort of deal is being made, PMLN senator also met Saudis, Nawaz going there and Shahbaz already in SA.

Saudis democracy ko strong kar rahay hain zaroor :)

Laikin all powers are with Imran Khan, they have made him PM multiple times and this is why he got total of ONE seat in first 15 years of his struggle and still isn't even a minister after 20 years :))

Shahbaz Sharif in Saudi to stop corruption investigation against the Sharif clan - Sources

Shahbaz's Pakistani-American friend arranged a meeting with the Saudi King through Jared Kushner - Sources

According to rumors, it has been agreed that SS should be the next PM.

A tiny state like Lebanon is understandable, but Pakistan should be meddling in Saudi Arabia's affairs and not the other way around.

These Saudis and Turks are friends of the Sharifs and not the Pakistani people. They can plot and plan but in the end they will lose.

Why does Saudi has to send a Plane to pick up Pakistani politician, why can't just they tavel in any plane? i don't get it.

now someone who has more knowledge in this matter, could you explain why Saudi and American do not want proper democracy in Pakistan when the first thing come out of their mouth is the word "democracy", especially American? Want Pakistan to eliminate radicalism but yet keep supporting these radicals?

There was a story in the press not too long ago when it was revealed that the Saudis once gifted, yes gifted, the Malaysian PM $681m (nope no typos there lol).

https://www.theguardian.com/world/2016/apr/15/saudi-arabia-money-malaysian-pm-najib-genuine-donation

I believe Musharraf has also said that he accepted personal 'donations' from the Saudis to purchase property all over the world.

When there is that sort of money on the table it's no wonder foreign politicians listen to the Saudis. Sure it's not just Saudi Arabia involved in such things but the money involved is just staggering.

So. What happened in Saudi?

Meetings still going on, actually they have gone there for prayers to strengthen democracy in Pakistan. Each and every step is for democracy only and nothing personal. Saudis being more Muslim than others can offer better prayers so everyone goes there for prayers :)
