It feels like we're breaking records every week and honestly I can't imagine how any team can reach the level we have the last 2-3 years. It's the pinnacle, where you both have the mental strength to tough it out in pressure situations, fitness to play 80 minutes at an extremely high level and the teamwork and chemistry to play as an unstoppable unit.

They're incredible. They lost multiple legends in Richie McCaw, Dan Carter & Nonu at the end of the last world cup yet they're still as dominant.

Spain are the most dominant football team I've ever seen. Euro 2008, World Cup 2010 & then Euro 2012 all on the trot.

Jamaican 4x100m relay team of Usain Bolt's era is also pretty special. They broke the World record in Beijing 2008, Deagu 2011 and London 2012. In 4 years they knocked 0.56 seconds off a world record that had moved 0.46 seconds in total in the 25 years before them.

The ABs play as a well oiled unit and are a tier above everyone else playing today. Then there's their conditioning and mental strength which allows them to compete/control even with a player down or chasing a game. I have never quite seen anything like it.

If you follow the sport, you'll realize why this team is so great and why teams around the world are trying to replicate their team culture that has brought this team success (NFL teams, Aussie cricket team etc.). They have the best win/loss record in sports history, this team is probably in the high 90s since 2011.

its like saying jahangir is the best athlete ever

before throwing stats etc you have to take into account how popular and important the sport is globally

no one cares about rugby,squash,cricket etc etc except for the countries that play and follow it

hence the all blacks or whatever are irrelevant

90% of the sports fans would probably not be able to name a single player of theirs and none of their stars will get recognized in public in most places

only footballers and football teams as well as tennis players and perhaps boxers can claim to be the best ever etc because they truly have global appeal and fan following
