Are you also tired of Babar Azam-related PR campaigns on Social Media?

My fb feed is somehow littered with Babar azam pr like he is some messiah and once in a lifetime talent and somehow whole bbl is thankful that he is coming to help them.

What is happening? are there really so crazy braindead people who are die hard fans of this has been or is he spending all of his big bash money on PR
I am slowly starting to hate this guy more than just as a waste of space on our team and screen

I can’t scroll on tik tok without coming across a Rizwan pr edit every 3rd video

These guys make me sick!

I dont like it, but it also doesn't bother me too much.

If it influences the selectors, then the issue is with the selectors not the PR firm.

Maybe it is not the media issue but your obsession... Stop watching babar and riz and you will see different videos popping up on your tiktok, insta, fb etc...

Your algorithm picks up things you show interest in so maybe you're a bigger fan of Bobzy the King than you'd like to admit:babar
Yes, lo and behold sir, there are other people in this world than you who also know about how social media algorithms and feeds work.

I have never shown any interest or watched his videos. In fact, even try to avoid commenting at all on any post related to him.

Yes i do have a life and it does not orbit around them.
Asked a simple question, doesn't mean it is an obsession.

The reality is that if someone searches for Pakistan cricket content on social media, Babar Azam clips are bound to dominate their feed.

This is exactly why I avoid looking up Pakistan cricket videos altogether, as this space has been hijacked by Babar’s camp. It’s glaringly obvious that fake accounts and bots are being used to artificially boost his visibility and influence.

I wouldn’t be shocked if there are members of the Babar cult on PP, who are tied into this operation as well. Their posts read less like fan opinions and more like brand endorsements. Even more revealing is the case of one poster who, up until the 2023 World Cup, was among Babar’s fiercest critics. Yet when Babar was reinstated as captain ahead of last year’s WT20, that same individual suddenly began highlighting his “brand value", when he was reappointed as captain just prior to last year's WT20.

Babar’s achievements doesn’t warrant this degree of adulation, which to me signals deliberate coordinated manipulation orchestrated by Babar, Rizwan and their team.

If Babar Azam was genuinely a top class batter with a reasonable list of accomplishments, I wouldn’t take issue. But when you examine his career in detail, the highlights boil down to just one or two standout innings and only two test centuries away from home (with just one of them outside Asia). So really, what is there to be excited about?

I’ve been following the game since 2000, and I can say with absolute conviction that he is the most overrated cricketer I’ve ever seen.

Exactly - if Babar was genuinely a top class batsman, why would any of us criticise him to the extent we do? He’s a Pakistani player after all. I fiercely defend all our genuine top class players - and I would do the same for Babar if he was that level.

But naaah, Babar just ain’t that guy.

I used to parrot the same nonsense his fans do nowadays, but that knock in the Champions Trophy against New Zealand. Man, that was the epitome of beghairati, and this guy showed his true colors that day. The way he blocked everything and anything that came his way, while we were chasing 300+. Every dot ball he played just increased my hatred for him.

Kudos to you @Rana @topspin @mominsaigol who actually picked up on what Babar and Rizwan were all about, and were defiant in their opinions.

It took a few of us a bit of time to come around but now I think there’s a fair few who don’t want to see this fraud represent us in limited overs cricket anymore.

Yes!

The guy should be putting his head down and developing his game.

At one point he looked at a great trajectory bit them complacency kicked in!

Test record is subpar!

Worst part is the level or lack of his fitness, he is skinny with a belly, I mean that is the worst of the lot!

Yes, they are already rueing their decision!
Bro I don’t think they are

I was reading threads/forums on BBL from local Australians.

Firstly, they honestly don’t care about BBL. They act like it’s a joke or meme league

Secondly, they have no issues with a player who has a fan following.

The issue here is for Pakistan though. Whatever this clown or his lipstick mate does here could have a serious impact on how Pakistan structures it’s team for the T20i World Cup.

Aussies don’t care, they know their team is sorted for the T20 World Cup.
