As an Indian, I'm overjoyed to see Pakistan in the Champions Trophy 2017 final

Can't really tell as an Indian how overjoyed I am to see Pak in the CT17 Finals.

Am sure other Indian fans would echo my emotions.
 
Why should I be overjoyed?

They beat up England which was bound to happen anyway in the final :)

Overjoyed is a bit too much.

But yeah, hopefully we can get past Bangladesh tomorrow and then successfully defend our title :afridi1

I am an Indian.Feeling happy for Pakistan. they are looking ominous the way they decimated England. 2007 t 20 final (Imran nazir run out) and 2011 (dropped catches) meant they lost both Matches which they should have won. I am expecting a close finish this final. Pakistan starts with a 50 percent chance against India this time.
 
Meh the amount of Indians turned up (at the stadium) to see Pakistan lose says otherwise! Don't want your congratulations! See you in the final.

I agree as well.

None of my friends that I would know are unhappy about it.

Obviously my social circle skews elite/liberal, but even more conservative BJP supporters are fine with it...

No one's averse to an India-Pakistan final.

Seriously....do you remember the 2012 T20 world cup where all the Indian fans stayed back to cheer for Australia against Pakistan? LOL.
 
It's high time to let go of the negativity.. be competitive but don't be stupid.

It's a potential bonus match, given how little the two teams play. ICC is licking its lips at the TV and ticket revenues for this final. I wish I could go, London is a direct flight from Tampa but my work won't let me take time off so easily.
 
Was actually wanting Pakistan to win today to see India Pak final.. But dint expect Pakistan to trash England like this... Super final its goin to be now...

If we play to 70% of our potential should be an easy two matches. No way Pakistan can do the middle over spin choke against us like they did against SA/Eng. Even in 2015 WC we played Yasir with utmost ease. Pakistan just doesn't stack up against India well.
 
Im overjoyed because Pakistan used to be my old team so I have a soft spot for them, plus wanted to see an India vs Pakistan final again.
 
I am happy for Pakistan, it was sad to see them sad after India loss. However, don't want them to be happy on 15th and 18th of this month though. :afridi
 
Yeah they must be happy, as they will be able to see both their neighbours play in the Final.
 
I am excited too. Two India-Pak matches in 2 weeks is great.

On top of that, Pakistan will definitely be an easier opponent than England.
 
Arrogant Indians who are saying congrats as they are very confident of beating Pakistan in the finals. In an Indians eyes there could not be an easier route to winning the champions trophy. Bangladesh and Pakistan. I really hope either one of Pakistan or Bangladesh knocks them out.
 
I am happy that Pakistan won. They deserve it. But will be overjoyed if we could beat Bangladesh and can see an Indo Pak final after 2007 wc :)

We are genuinely happy for paksitan. And (provided) we reach the finals, I expect it to be super tight like 2007 T20WC finals. This PAK team doesn't look like the whiners who lost 2011 (yeah, you lost it , we didn't win it TBH).

How is that arrogant? Beating Bangladesh and Pakistan will definitely be easier than beating Australia and England.

Yep I am sick and tired of Indians laughing already and hoping Pakistan makes it to the finals just because they believe it will be a cake walk for them. Sick and tired of guys like Sehwag saying crap like Baap-beta. Sick and tired of my Indian friends pitying Pakistani cricket. Neway where I come from there's always a lot of banter with my Indian friends of late from banter it's become making fun of Pakistan or having pity on Pakistan. I just don't appreciate it.

Well if someone has audacity to do this then you should blame your cricket for this and not Indians. If they are on rise then everyone is appreciating them. Don't be bitter and enjoy the banter. And if we beat Bangladesh then on Sunday then just wait and watch your team crumbling against us again :))

Congratulations to Pakistan team. Happy they are in the final and thanks for making India's job little easier by defeating a tough England Side (If India qualify for the finals of course!)
 
Yeah, totally didn't expect this. Huge achievement for Pakistan. Bowlers have been a class apart since the India match. Eagerly wishing and waiting for the INDvPAK final now. Don't think the match, if it happens, will be one-sided. Pak's bowling has been ridiculous and they have the momentum.

You can only blame the Pk team for losing to them all the time. Indians are arrogant for a reason now - they know the outcome (99% likely). It is not nice and yes it is annoying (they are even more dismissive of us) but facts are facts.

Nonsense. If anything, most Pakistani fans wanted India to lose in our games vs Sri Lanka and South Africa.

On the other hand, nearly all Indian fans - me included - were hoping that Pakistan will go through each of their games. We can clearly see who's got them bigger hearts here.
 
Think it's a mixed feeling,it's fun to see PCT collapsing, but the way they have played last match nothing but respect to them.

It's like I want them to play well but not that well as to destroy teams(ENGLAND) :P ,don't mind them reaching finals though,should be fun ,long time since PCT reached finals of an ICC tournament and opposition will be another SC team,rarity that too in England.
 
I think secretly Indians were hoping it would be any other team but England as they were the only team unbeaten and being their home ground know that they would not be able to beat them . Now they are feeling mighty happy that Pakistan are in the final (my Indian friends haven't stopped calling me this morning to tell me 'see you in the final') and feel rather more comfortable .

I did chuckle at the thought of them loosing to Bangla Boys though which I do believe is on the cards for them today.

Anyway lets hope Bangladesh Tigers gives them a good fight and take it all the way to the wire.

It would be great to see Pakistan / India final but if they get rolled over by Bangla Tigers it really won't surprise me at all .:yk2
 
Great to see Pakistan reach the final been saying before the tournament even started i want and India v Pakistan final and seems like we are going to see that..
 
Obviously the Indians are happy anytime another Asian team makes the final of a tournament - it means that India can pay enough to win another tournament final. Since it's a final Nawaz Sharif could get a bigger payout. Two jackpots in one event.
