Afghanistan has unveiled its squad for the ACC Men’s T20 Asia Cup 2025, set to light up the UAE from September 9 to 28.

Before the big tournament, AfghanAtalan will sharpen their skills in a T20I Tri-Nation Series against hosts UAE and Pakistan starting this Friday in Sharjah, featuring most of the 22-member preliminary squad announced by ACB.

Talented squad.
Part of a much better system they have my support.
Inshallah they'll lift at least one of the two tournaments next month

Their spin attack looks quite dangerous. Gurbaz will be their main driving factor. There are some weakness in middle order, otherwise very good squad and BD/SRL will have their work cut out.

Garbage squad.

No new pace bowling talent coming from them. Fareed and gulbadin are garbage that are dtill being recycled. Im seeing gulbadin since 2010.

The batting line up is also week. Openers are solid but thats about it. Darwish rasooli is a good pick but they wont give him games. No middler order existing, same recycled garbage

Afghanistan's veteran fast bowler, Naveen Ul Haq, has been ruled out of the ACC Men's T20 Asia Cup 2025. He is still recovering from a shoulder injury and has not been declared fit by the ACB medical team to participate in the remaining matches. Naveen will continue to undergo intensive treatment and rehabilitation until he is fully fit.

Fast bowler Abdullah Ahmadzai, who was previously in the reserves and recently made his international debut, has been promoted to the main squad for the Asia Cup 2025.
