desi parental pressure is real, it's an underlying for depression and suicide among young brown people. That said, this is entirely her fault and doesn't reflect well on the indian american community.

Her lawyer said she did out of parental pressure. Asians and desis in particular need to stop pressurizing kids, there's a big cultural problem in the Asian community in America.

Desi parent pressure excuse is ridiculous, I'm a desi parent and I won;t put any pressure on my kinds when time will come and even now and I know others desis, they are "normal" parents . They want their kids to do better. There are so many fields to chose from for desi kids.

We don't know. No parent has any idea what their kids really think and feel. Maybe there should be some kinda anonymous survey parents can do to get an idea, kinda like post semester professor reviews.

But if she was a successful doctor from harvard med and got famous then y'all would use it to brag about how "successful" Indians are in America :)) Just accept the good with the bad.

I’m Pakistani.

Many people from all walk of life have tried forging documents and transcripts.

This has nothing to do with her being an Indian.
 
Why Indian Americans do so much better than Pakistani Americans?

In my perception, Indian Americans tend to perform better due to their strong entrepreneurial skills, while I believe Pakistani Americans may face challenges because of an approach known as "Jugad" in our culture.

This is median household income - It’s because a much higher % of Pakistani women don’t work compared to most other ethnicities. If they worked at a similar rate to the other ethnicities, then I suspect Pakistanis would be much higher in this list, maybe even 2nd to Indians.
