The story so far....

So seems honours even so far but a good batting display from India and they could well be on their way to a win here.

India has upper hand here because India has depth in batting, Aussies need to get some early wickets and look to get some sort of lead in bag because in second innings Ashwin and Jadeja would strangle them,

Cummins is going to destroy these Indians, then Starc and Hazelwood are going to join the party today, not to mention Lyon is looking hungry and dangerous.

Cummins the best bowler in the world, way ahead of Bumrah.

Australia won this match already with Gill's wicket yesterday

So some intend yar . they are playing like India want to draw the game .

I think they scored 20 runs from 20 plus overs after shubman dismissal. That is not acceptable for a test match also

Short Bowling plan by Australian as they know there is not much movement in the pitch.good strategy

Watching a paint dry is bit more interesting than watching these 2 bat...especially Pujara. :))

What a massive opportunity missed by Wade. Having a terrible game he is

He completely mistimed his jump. That wasn’t a hard catch for short leg

Pujara being in his ultra defensive mode on a flat wicket. And as I type, Rahane is bowled.

India doing what Pakistan did in first test, self destruction is on display here. When you bat like snails 🐌 then you will not get anywhere hopefully pants can give some impetus.

Tbh Aussies have really bowled well. They have 3 fielders in a line for a shot that will give the batsmen 1 run if they try to play it against their ace wicket takers

Watching Indian Batting, I must say Team of 2004 Sachin, Sehwag, Dravid, Ganguly, Vvs Laxman. Now that was a dream team for any Captain. Miss old days,

By the 80th over, they will crawl to 160 with Pujara there

Uber cautious until reaching 138...

Never a fan of his batting. He puts pressure on entire batting line up with his blocks. Rahane was clearly feeling the pressure and got out trying to score some quick runs. Pujara is just a blocker like Sanjay Manjerkar was and dont know how to rotate strike. Just block block block and then get out. Lol at people compare him with Dravid.

Hopefully we will try a new no.3 from England series as I dont think Pujara has lots of cricket left.

What an unpleasant, grumpy and boring commentator is Mark Waugh. One of the worst commies around.

Pujara is going to be out of the team if he carries on like this

Pujara doesn’t give a crap

14 off 93 balls

And then a collapse may just happen. Tuk-tuking on Adelaide wicket with pink ball was still fine as they lost early wicket but here it makes no sense.

No matter how flat the track is, you can make the ball swing and spin as long as you make the seam your spouse as a bowler.

Seems like Pakistani bowlers have lost their intimacy with the seam!

What exactly is Pujara’s trying to accomplish batting this way? Same goes for Vihari, although he barely starter.

Just giving away maiden overs one after the other without any rotation only does absolutely nothing to increase India’s chances but only hurts them.

My revised Indian score prediction: They will be 250 all out. Pujara will be out on 25 of 160 balls.

The one thing Vihari could be useful for is to use his limited abilities that include some vs spin, and score runs off Lyon.

If he fails at even that, he should be the first man in history to be dropped in the middle of a test match. Don't even give him a 2nd innings chance :shezzy2

India going nowhere here to be honest. Someone needs to counter attack.

Not one loose ball.

Naseem’s stock ball is the short and wide ball.

The bowling is too good and the abilities to counter it limited. Kohli might have been able to do something vs the pace bowling here.

Lyon - only that old bunch of Sehwag, Sachin, Laxman, Ganguly could have made him look like another ordinary Aussie spinner like they did to everyone who came their way.

Having said that, Pujara finally seems to have woken up. Dancing down the wicket, he rarely goes for big shots and instead works ones and twos. Good idea, it will make sure the blood is pumping and he doesn't fall asleep again.

Not trying to score runs also allows bowlers to keep bowling where they want to bowl.

Pujara just hang his bat expecting inswing and blocks it with soft hand. If its bit short, he flicks towards leg side. Thats why he gets caught behind so much because his defence is not meant for outswing.

Cummins and hazlewood are bowling very tight,
I don't blame rahane for getting out.
Vihari needs a 50. A 100 run partnership is the only thing that can save india. 150 from this pair would be ideal though
