I hope West Indies wins but Starc takes lots of wickets so that his average is not disturbed. :moali:inzi:wg:amla Bilal7

Finch on :AAG today. Smith starting off rather cautiously but a good, solid start for Australia, nevertheless.

...and just as I say that, he's :out to Pollard, done in by the lack of pace on the legcutter.

Important partnership for Australia. If these two can take them close to around 180, their big hitters could end up pulverising the West Indian attack. It's not easy to chase a big total in a final.

Fletcher finally perishes. Looked completely out of his depth today and nicked off to slip after charging and swiping hard.

Majestic pull-shot from Bravo! :lara

A welcome boundary, as the Aussies have been piling pressure after Fletcher's dismissal.

Mitch Marsh gets Bravo!

West Indies poorly placed now, as that was a very sluggish partnership.

Marsh has always had that knack of managing to perform with one of his two disciplines (generally only one).

Has another now. He has a strange habit of picking up a bunch of wickets when you're expecting others to pick them up.

West Indies in disarray at 72/4. This is a textbook Pakistani chase, as they're also well behind the required rate.

even if WI don't win this, one must commend on how they have won 3 matches against top ranked sides given they were ranked 9th not too long ago.

A very tough ask for the West Indian lower order, but Holder, Ramdin and Brathwaite are certainly capable of resilience.

The required rate is their biggest worry.

Do you rate him or not? I think Australia have done well to invest in him seems a talanted player to me think he will be a fantastic all rounder

Lmao Ramdin was playing like bradman in the last match, now he's batting at a snails pace in this game. Could cost the west indies big time.

Decent fight from Holder, who just holed out, but Ramdin has effectively batted his own side out of the match with 20 (52).

I hope Australia win but Saqlain's record of fastest to 100 wickets stays intact :amla

Smith should consider bringing Starc back, if he could get a wicket than its game over with west indies not really having many batsmen left

This partnership is keeping up with the required rate. The game is not over just yet.

With the wicket of dangerman Brathwaite, Australia should look to go for the kill by bringing on Starc.

Really impressed with WI - they are missing few players yet just about couple of fixes away from the top bracket of ODI team. What they are missing a fast bowling leader & couple of proper top order players. May be few boys from U19 can be added to this team.

Holder is grooming into a fantastic Captain.

Not sure; it seemed as if he lost it in the floodlights.
Anyhow, better than being scared of the ball while batting, like some of our 'superstar' batsmen. :steyn

And than they say there is nothing wrong with there batting :hafeez :ahmed

Good win and well done to Wade, Marsh and Hazlewood. Zampa is also developing nicely.

It's a weird case of him being a player I have actually played against but yes I rate him and consider him the only person who can develop into a test standard allrounder.

He shouldn't get automatic test selection at this point.

Wow u played against so you will be a good judge of him. He shouldn't be an automatic selection but Australian selectors are going to give him a long rope.

Congrats to Australia for winning the series.

Hazelwood developing well in Odis now, zampa did well will give him some more confidence on the international stage. Mitch Marsh developing well needs to be more consistent with the bat but I'm sure he has a bright future with Australia. Some positives for Australia.

Junior cricket is a long way from international level. Makes me a biased judge if anything

Congratulations Aussies. Khawaja needs to be dropped once Warner is back, Sandhu needs to replace Coulter Nile.

Congrats to Australia. I was hoping for WI victory but it wasn't to be but at least their cricket is showing signs of revival in 2016. I'm happy for them.

Time change, players change, captains change but Australia continue to dominate ODI cricket for the last 2 decades.

Hats off!

Sick of Aussie winning everything. It's getting boring now.

Hope some other team rises now. Think it's England. The crown will reawaken.

Do you think WI missing one solid batsman? I mean is Ramdin, Pollard, Holder are one number above batting position?

Yes. WI plays few all rounders & the tail is not the worst. But, I think their top order is shaky. Ramdhin is in great form, so he can bat at 5 for the time being.

1. Simmons
2. 2nd opener (the best lefti available, ideally Chris)
3. Bravo Jr.
4. Samuels
5. Ramdhin
6. Bravo Sr.
7. Holder
8. Russell
11. Brathwaite
10. Narine
11. Fast Bowler/Spinner

If Chris is not considered, then Pollard can come at 6 with everyone going 1 slot up.

This is potentially a team capable of making WC SF in UK.

They lost to India in 2011 and also in 2014, they lost to England as well.

Yea they suffered series losses here and there but they always come back as a strong team and continue to dominate the rankings and ICC tournaments.

They last time they sucked at a 50 over ICC tournament was the 2013 ICC Champions Trophy.

Always have been consistent backed by a very strong domestic setup and sporting culture.
