Have to ask, what's the significance of 26 runs?12thMan said:Almost a maiden over after the first ball 4. Will Australia make 26 runs before a wicket falls? A good question. Stay tuned to find out
So it was an arbitrary number, ok.12thMan said:28 runs was the first landmark Aus had to reach as they were losing wickets early. And after reaching it they got over confident. See the importance
Hayden having tea now
commentator's curse strikes again, Vettori the bowler , 49-212thMan said:Katich playing well. looks confident just like a brylcream man
But did you see his confidence as he walked. The power that only brylcream users can feelOn_the_up said:commentator's curse strikes again, Vettori the bowler , 49-2
LOL, not being a user myself I can only admire..12thMan said:But did you see his confidence as he walked. The power that only brylcream users can feel
We still talking about Katich's hair? anyway that's lunch at 57-2Matic said:Lovely cut
Jamal said:No Aussie can ever say that subcontinental pitches are poor in that they only support batting. Look at the Adelaide pitch. It is the FLATTEST pitch I have ever seen (although Adelaide is ALWAYS really flat)
the Gabba is usually very good for batsmen aswell (last test was under prepared) and Sydney only helps spinners after day 4, so its much alike Indian pitches.Random Aussie said:Ah but it is only one pitch in Australia. Not every pitch.
And usually there is a result in Adelaide.

Funnily, he also got out twice playing the same shot against Pravin Kumar.Random Aussie said:Ponting out for 79 - that is twice in a row out to the pull shot. Very odd.
3/155, hint of another wobble.

He is in trouble.Jamal said:He was extremely pissed off. Its a flat track, it was a great opportunity for him to get a century. Now if Australia dont bat again, his career may be in the balance.

Matic said:Who's the next opener waiting to get in the side?
Random Aussie said:No shortage of applicants for that spot:
Chris Rogers (Vic) has 600 runs already this season and is killing it.
Phillip Hughes (NSW) is the young gun pushing through. Not ready yet but in the eye of the selectors.
Shaun Marsh (WA) is a favorite of the selectors.
Phil Jaques (NSW) is a proven run scorer at Test level (average 47 I think) and will be back at the end of the summer.
What wrong did he do again ?OZGOD said:Dubya = nub
OZGOD said:I don't think they'll go back to Rogers, although he was the form opener a couple years ago. Though he may work as a stopgap as Phil Hughes is too young. Jaques will definitely be back when he returns from injury. Marsh is in with a shout too.
Jamal said:Krapich is in for the long haul unfortunately. Haydos needs a hundred in this test.
Random Aussie said:Fortunately he is already 35 Jamal

Funny how an injury can change everything just like that. Before his injury, Hayden was probably the best batsman in the world for some months with no batsman outscoring him in that period, whether it be Tests or ODIs. And look where he is now after the injury.Amjid Javed said:Australia in control of game here and its a case of how big a lead can they get before they put kiwis back in. Haydune i recon may get one last chance v S.A
Personally i recon hes past his best and should be dropped.
Jamal said:Great success
Edit : He's 33, will be around till he's 38![]()

Amjid Javed said:I think Jacques will come back into side once fit. I also think some of bowlers maybe on borrowed time aswell.
Random Aussie said:Yes looks that way. Bowling attack has very little penetration these days.
yes if australia plays with 13 players. we all knew how they performed in perth and adelide when they had to play with 11 players. I thot india thrashed the current aussie team few weeks ago.Random Aussie said:Not really India still lose to Australia in Australia like everyone else![]()
