Hoping we bat first and Sharjeel, Akmal and Babar fire. Get to 300-320 and then unleash the quicks on the Aussies. Ideally, I would want Azhar in for Imad and opening the batting, with everyone else moving down a spot.

PCB hasn't sent any additional player for Sarfaraz's replacement. Now the question is God forbid if a batsman becomes injured in the third ODI and Azhar does not regain his fitness in time then we will be short of players

Way too many bowlers. Imad should be at 8 to add the depth necessary for those 300+ scores.

Unfortunately, that leaves only Shafiq. But he has to play in place of Wahab.

Same XI for me. Been waiting years for the Junaid and Amir partnership and I hope it flourishes. Use those 2 to try and get 2-3 wickets in the beginning. And then stifle the middle - lower order with spin. Let them come with an answer to this weakness before we start tinkering.

I wouldn't play Imad if Azhar is fit. However, Imad seems to be a better ODI bat than Shafiq these days and four pacers are needed on this pitch.

It is the first time during this tour that i am excited about a game. Pakistan give some hope now but still remain an unpredictable side. Another win would be awesome though.
Top 4 are going to be key. Umar, Asad or Rizwan can't be relied upon. Hafeez, Sharjeel, Babar and Malik, all of them are in good nick. Pakistan have a chance.

Umar Akmal is the exact reason we aren't capable of chasing those kinda scores.. his 20-30 runs do nothing in a big chase
