No, its way early for that.
Whilst CSA did admit he will be fast tracked into the SA structures i.e. SA-A tours, and first class cricket (due to his raw pace and potential, similar to de Lange). However there have been no talks whatsoever of replacing Steyn. You can't do that to a kid who has barely played provencial cricket nevermind 1st class.

21,000 is probably the size of most of the Test cricket grounds in Bangladesh. It looks empty because the MCG's capacity is about 100,000. Though probably nobody turned up because most of the players are no names.

In India theres so many freakin people that 20,000 even packed up an Ireland-Eng game. I might be wrong but i seriously doubt that any games apart fro the india pak and the Oz, Nz games will be anywhere near capacity. any match involving minnows might as well be behind closed doors.

i feel theres just not enough people in the country to pack stadia up for that many meaningless games. they should have allowed icc to change the format

No, because Australians like going to events. When they held the Rugby World Cup in Australia in 2003 they got crowds like 48,000 for Australia vs Romania in Brisbane (I was one of them), and 20,000 for Japan vs USA and those two are definitely rugby minnows. And rugby isn't half as popular as cricket is nationally. Australians love these world cup type events and they will show up. It's been proven for the Olympics, the Commonwealth Games, the Rugby World Cup, the previous cricket world cu.p Trust me.
