Match starts in about 20 minutes.

Sa have targeted Warner with the mind games.

MJ is back replacing Hilfenhaus. And it seems Horrorwitz will play. What a joke, Hilf gets dropped and the Horrorhack gets a game.

Rumours are Steyn might be rested.
 
There are three reasons for me watching this match

Tait, Warner and Ponting.

I am glad it is 2 years til the next WC.

Warner has said he prefers to hit the ball on the off side. I think that is all talk but he can play some offside shots.

South Africa has it's fair share of nobel prize winners....we're not as stupid as we look. I can assure you warner can hit little to nothing through the offside, no matter how often he says that he can.
 
I don't wish mr warner badly...he's just been massively overhyped. I almost feel sorry for him.
 
what did I say ? All leg side. The south african bowlers might be dumber than I suggested. Just bowl outside off and he's a bunny.

watching the game right now...seems very mid on.midwicketish type player.....havent seen him play a shot on the off side......however he just hit steyn for six...awesome shot......

Good start here, Aussies win ther 7h out f 8 tosses ( ?) .....and going at 6 an over.
 
he does bring excitement to the team...now other teams realize why all of pakistan tunes in to watch players like afridi.....im just watching the beg of this game to catch warner....
 
Makkers up to decent pace (140's) here. A bit quicker than Ahtar in the last two games so I suppose around militirary medium .

Never mind....saffers have the brutal ripping spin of dumminy to come. He'll get 3 hat-tricks at least (depending on batter avalability, else it might only br 2....bu everone has a bad game once in a while.)
 
Seriouslt thoigh...watch makkers pace....well into the 140's. He's far from past it yet.

Has surprised me a bit this tour with his pace and bounce.

I thought he would be 135kph max. Gotta respect Ntini.

Look he's not a terrible player. But he's no adam gilchrist. I'd be far kinder to him if not for the insane hype.
 
For those excited by ahktars 142kph yesterday , please watch kallis...even he'll get it there today.

Need to keep the RR up, Hauritz has to bowl 10 overs today. So that's 70-80 runs for the Saffers.

Warner is having fun, hitting through the line. Yea.. he is a 50/50 player. On his day he can cause lot of damage at the top.

Marsh has the happy knack of being able to make runs when he is out of form. Now averaging 56 after 11 matches opening, that is seriously good.

0/70 in 12.4 overs, useless Warner bloke has 50 from 41 balls

lol i do agree marsh is a better player...today he looks much better.....however i do think a tad overhyped, taylor is calling him a legend.

Marsh is a much more organized player who is capable of playing shots all around the wicket. Warner on the other hand has the license to go after the bowling. They are just playing the roles. Marsh is very much capable of playing an aggressive innings.

Have to agree here when you look at the 50's scored by the SA batsmen in this comp. Kallis smashed his 50 in 74 balls and Duminy was even quicker belting his 50 in 73 balls.

Of course it's not a bad innings...but it's nothing special or revolutionary like the coms are making out.

My irritation does not lie with the kid....I wish him the best....it's the ridiculous hyp that they're pouring over him.


With that said...he just hit a pretty good sixer.
 
Albie is keeping Warner in check with clever variation. Hope the other monotonous south african bowlers learn from him

Say what you like about the comms, they are the same everywhere but you have called Warner an idiot, said you dont respect him, called him a midget while all the time he is taking the SA bowling apart.

He dosent deserve the disrespect you are heaping on him simply because you dont like the comms, put your scorn on the comms and not warner.
 
This can outright demolish the cricket ball. I am becoming a serious fan of this guy.

He's quite deserving of that rank, he should in fact be ranked higher in my opinion. Now that he's back to his normal form I am sure he will obtain a better spot in the ICC rankings.
