Brisbane hosts the fourth game and the bouncy Gabba isn't very friendly for touring batsmen, especially when sultry conditions force more curl from the ball. In Tests the ground is a fortress but in one-day internationals Australia do give their opponents a chance.

Adam Voges was the late replacement for Marsh in Sydney and made a scratchy 8, so he will be lucky to get another go. Watson should partner Tim Paine at the top while James Hopes is expected to hold his spot on his home ground.

Australia (possible) 1 Shane Watson, 2 Tim Paine (wk), 3 Ricky Ponting (capt), 4 Michael Clarke, 5 Cameron White, 6 Michael Hussey, 7 James Hopes, 8 Mitchell Johnson, 9 Ryan Harris, 10 Nathan Hauritz, 11 Doug Bollinger.

Kemar Roach missed the game in Sydney with a sore left ankle and while the injury is not serious, he is expected to sit out again. That should give Darren Sammy the chance to retain his place after removing Ricky Ponting and Michael Clarke.

West Indies (possible) 1 Chris Gayle (capt), 2 Travis Dowlin, 3 Narsingh Deonarine, 4 Lendl Simmons, 5 Wavell Hinds, 6 Denesh Ramdin (wk), 7 Kieron Pollard, 8 Dwayne Smith, 9 Darren Sammy, 10 Nikita Miller, 11 Ravi Rampaul.

That Windies team looks very weak. I expect the Aussies to win this one comfortably.

As WI have not made over 200 this series its a huge ask and there is next to no chance they will get it.

Johnsons 4 off the second last ball was funny, talk about luck of the irish!

Come on WI, put on a great chase, it will be great to watch!

It all hinges on Gayle. If he gets off to a flier then they have a chance otherwise they will collapse like a house of cards.

When you think about it, 324 on an AUS pitch is huge! I wonder what frame of mind Gayle is in!

his mind must be out of his frame by now after making his bold predictions

Doesn't it always? He is the West Indies. Still say they'll be lucky to get 250, Doesn't matter what Gayle does.

;-)

Sadly for them.. it truly does always rest on Gayle's shoulders. Poor guy. :))

Good knock from Dubya. If Gayle gets out early it's all over.

We might have to bring out the Saeed Anwar jinx thread very quickly.

lets hope that happens, at least should reach near to the record, all the mods will be on their toes then :D

To be fair though, the pitch is the flattest there's been this summer.

Salam bhaiyo

It seems a few Aussie privacies have been violated by one Gayle C.?

Bollinger to Gayle, OUT, 80.4 mph, super ball and now Gayle edges to Paine! His woes against Bollinger continue as he's sucked into feeling for a gem of a ball that pitches off and deviates, taking the outer edge high off the bat

Dougie gets his bunny again!!

Momo stay in this thread for the rest of the night please...:D

Well that's about it for this game folks. Back to watching South Africa's massacre of Indian spin bowling.

Gayle tried to cowlash his way to 300+ and paid the penalty.

switches back to India vs South africa, now have to listen to that gavaskar guy....and will miss tubbs n slats , excellent duo! :(
