A country with a population of 200 million and cricket being their only spot I don't think they would lose interest.

The oldies are being selected by their management because they're the don bradman of the domestic. They score double and triple centuries regularly so it wouldn't make sense for the selectors to select youth over them. But when these oldies come to the international arena they flop.
The gap between domestic and international is too much imo

27 plus a few years due to age fudging so on average we have the oldest domestic squads.

Tbh when you look at the U19 and A team, developing players team results vs the U19, A team, developing players of other nations especially India, who can blame the first class teams for opting for older mature players in comparison to poor quality youngsters.

The U19 players have bowling talent but no batting talent to speak off. Blame the poor first class structure, domestic and NCA coaching for this
