I know people would be biased here but Ali Sethi version was very dull while Ayushmann version was more colorful.

Nothing against Ayushmann who is a very good actor Ali Sethi is a far better singer than him.

Listen to some other songs by Ali Sethi search for his Coke Studio songs too.

I like Ali Sethi. His songs in Coke Studio are really good and his Agar Tum Saath Ho cover was really good as well but this song by Ali Sethi looks very dull.

Ali Sethi.

He is a proper singer, bro...

He wins this one, hands down.

I like sethi's version better. It has that classical touch which ayushman's version lacks. ayushman's version is more modern but I prefer Ali shethi's version.
It's subjective.

My problem with ayushman's songs is most of them sounds similar. his singing skills are definitely not upto mark imo though his tunes are always catchy so song works.

Sethi hits the notes better so his version is better imo
It's like comparing sethi the actor with khurana the actor.
One of than is clearly ahead

When I listen to pakistani music I feel that, whilst the singers have potential in their comfort zone, it lacks variations. You can listen to 10 pakostani songs and out of those, 6 or 7 will be that of same melody and same vocal technique.

On the other hand, I don't rate ayusman khurana. He isn't a proper playback singer. He can sing but not to the extent that people wants. Some other artists might have done better job in that song.

I like Ayushman Khurana immensely, both as an actor and as a playback singer, but liked Ali Sethi's version better as its less jazzy than Khurana's version.

May be its just me, but I like music without much use of musical instruments.

It is so true on so many levels but I personally like it this way cause Bollywood singers can do so many different styles and they do a good job but they can't sing Rock Ali azmat cause their voice is not made for it (just like Ali azmat can't do what they do) so I think pak singers are great in their comfort zones but bad outside their comfort zone and Indian singers are like all rounders they can do everything but they don't make triple hundreds(except romantic songs for some reason they are very good at it)
Personally speaking I like it this way different artists for different moods (and always Bollywood to make your heart sing- so romantic)

I agree. On their personal strengths, some Pakistani singers are excellent and you can't be anything else but mesmerize by their melody. Their knowledge is also vast. I watched interviews of Rahat fateh Ali khan and he sometimes just for 2 minutes talks about vocal techniques which takes many classes for teachers to explain and that too with very much complexity.

In recent times, there are Indian singers which are very talented and but they rarely sing in bollywood movies (1 or 2 in some movies which doesn't get much spotlight).

Ayushmann has more pain in his voice, you can feel it while with Ali I don't know why but he sounds artificial.

Hands down the Sethi version with a great video to boot, whenever I get too tense this rendition is in my playlist to transport me to a more tranquil place. Ayushmann is a good singer for some modernish songs like Pani da Rang from Vicky Donor but his style of singing and extra instruments in this rendition of Chan Kitthan totally ruin it.

Well Said. I played Ali Sethi’s version for my mother and even she loved it, Ayushman’s is uninspiring.

This is Ayushmann's one of the best performances till date. I think T-Series mixtape is better than Coke Studio.
