For far too long blame has been directed at the Pakistani batsmen for its faliure to win games.

Well now the line up makes it one of the best in the world.

Azhar and Asad have made their mark, have the technique and brains to make good in any condition.

Sami is a brilliant compact test batsman. Thrown in the deep end in England he came out a winner. They need to support and help this kid develop. He and Azhar make a rock solid left-right opening combo.

Younis, still some good innings left in the old warhorse. His experience is crucial in nurturing a young side, especially in Misbah's absence.

Sarfraz. plucky and busy batsman. Rotates strike and can take the fight to the opposition.

Pakistan's batting line up has a good foundation. As long as management dont keep choppoing and changing for ttf's or hacks to replace the above 5 and allow them to settle then it will pay dividends.

Now it's the bowlers turn to put their hands up.

They are solid. We need to add a few stroke makers: Azam and Sharjeel. And we need to be patient

Sami will need to expand his stroke range and up his SR to survive. He cannot remain 22 off 100 and expect to remain in the team. At the end of the day this is a team game. In today's day and age that SR will maybe help the batsman get to a good score individually but the team suffers as we will be meandering at 2 RPO. Not acceptable. Only in Pakistan have I ever heard of having a batsman just to blunt out the new ball.

Asad has to come at 5. Misbah the "gentleman" needs to be selfless here and look to the future.

Doesn't hold a candle to India's top 5 of Vijay, Rahul, Pujara, Kohli and Rahane.

True, Sami should rotate the strike better. That said the Aussies were relentless in their accuracy with very few balls that could be scored off. His confodence will improve with increased opportunities.

Next series Usman Sallahudin and Fakhar Zaman need to be in squad:

1. Azhar Ali
2. Sami Aslam/Fakhar Zaman
3. Babar Azam
4. Younis Khan
5. Usman Sallahudin
6. Asad Shafiq
7. Sarfaraz
8. Yasir Shah/Asghar
9. Amir
10. Wahab Riaz
11. Hassan Ali/Mir Hamza
