Speaking on his YouTube channel, the former Pakistan cricketer said:

"Although, Queenstown could well be the most beautiful places in the world and is a holiday resort, it is not suitable as a cricketing locations and this is why practice facilities are probably not up to the required standards. Uneven bounce in this location could well have resulted in Babar Azam fracturing his thumb as well"

Truth or shooting from the hip Rambo?

The fact that two batsmen got fractured thumbs because of throw-downs is bizarre and needs to be investigated.

Were they not wearing gloves or did we get someone to throw 90 mph beamers at them?

This is as weird as Junaid running into his hotel room door in South Africa in 2013.

Shooting from the hip. What does a thumb injury has to do with inadequate facilities. And first of all rameez needs to do something aboit the facilities back home.

Uneven bounce like ramiz has stated

Freak and unfortunate accident. It’s not like freak accidents don’t happen in world class facilities.

It's almost like Pakistan are trying very hard to create a rivalry with New Zealand here.

If it was substandard, then why didn't the PCB raise the issue with NZC?

Facing rapid fast bowlers in the nets must be difficult after spending 14 days locked up in a hotel room.

I doubt they even picked up a bat in the time period.

Not sure what exactly happened but, two batsmen getting fractures is definitely freakish.

If what Ramiz is saying was the case Pak management should have raised the issue to the PCB. Pak management has been struggling on the tour to understand their responsibilities as well as their rights. It’s definitely NZC’s job to provide a proper facilities and if they dont then its the job of the visiting team’s board to raise the issue a accordingly but, team management should have raised the issue first to PCB.

I take it Ramiz won't be commentating in New Zealand then.

How difficult is it to be a good guest in a progressive, advanced and peaceful country like New Zealand and be nice to hosts? Imagine the drama if this team visit chaotic Bangladesh, SL or India. No wonder they are not welcome anywhere but mostly tolerated.

All these tantrums could still be tolerated if the same country was a great host but all teams fear for their life visiting the land of these picky visitors.

Crazy!

Man, don't know where you are from but either it is a display of massive inferiority complex or superiority complex or schadenfreude. All pathetic.

if Pakistan aren't treated well, they have every reason to call that out. No need to get your knickers in a twist over this by bringing in country and reputations.

Injury due to inadequate facilities :)):))

Fractured thumb because of throw-downs nothing to do with inadequate facilities.

If the ball jumped unusually- well that can happen in a few places.

Then again- Queenstown isn't really an international standard venue. It's hosted 2 games ever & the last one was almost a decade ago.

But you can be hit by a throw error as much as a poor pitch.

I do find these type of finger injuries in training very odd . It's a bit unlucky but wonder what's going to fracture a finger in training.

Something to do with the training regimen itself?

Something to do with the training regimen itself?

It could be. I mean is there a real need for a fast bowler to be bowling so quickly in training? Also players have got these type of injuries from fielding practice. Maybe a couple of days before games, players should take it easy to prevent these type of injuries.

But then again Babar is a bit unlucky as well.

Adam Zampa has said David Hussey has told Haris Rauf to calm down as he bowling too quickly in training and risking a potential injury to a team mate.
MenInG I did say bowlers should calm down in training a day or two before games.

Ramiz Raja was one of the worst batsmen to ever play for Pakistan. To add to that, he is a pathetic commentator. Does not even know Babar’s last name.

Anything this geriatric man has to say should not be listened to.
