All,

I need to know your experience in cleaning the bats. I have taken out scuff sheet from the bats. Now its very sticky, How can I clean it.

Secondly, I have a bat which has lot of ball marks. Is there anyway to cleanup those marks?

Any tips would be appreciated.

From what I have heard and experienced is that I oiled the face and left it for a bit (1-2 hours) and then I peeled off the glue with a knife/scissors and it did work quite well in my case.

For the ball marks you can lightly sand the bat and they will disappear.

For the glue to be removed some people say there is some sort of chemical (have no clue what it is) but it is safe for bats and you can use that.

I took off the scuff sheet and then used oil and removed the glue softly rubbing it was bit of work but it worked for me.

another thing I did is using bit of nail-polish remover not directly but on cotton it also helps and like CD said above using light wood sand paper softly.

I actually prefer to leave the ball marks, its like preserving every shot I play.

Au contraire, I like to clean the edges with a bit of nail varnish remover.
