What's your favourite match of 2017? In Tests, ODI's and T20is?

For me, 3rd Test Pak vs West Indies by a mile due to the thrill factor, emotional value and the standard of cricket was also pretty good.

In ODI's, it will definitely be Champions Trophy 2017 final :babar

In t20is, not one specifically, but it's sort of a toss between 2nd T20i between Pak and SL and 2nd Pak and World XI T20i.

What's yours?

Tests - England vs West Indies at Headingley. The game seesawed and ended with a fantastic run chase by the Windies via some superb knocks by Hope and Brathwaite.

ODIs - Champions Trophy final - nobody could've expected such a one sided final especially after the thrashing we received in the opening game vs India in Birmingham.

T20Is - the one where Shadab Khan finished it off.

CT final is best due to its nature but the most thrilling one was CT Pak vs SL.

In tests, Pak - WI with Yasir taking wicket off last ball.

In T20s, Pak - SL where Shadad won it in the end.

Favourite game was the test between Pakistan and West Indies. Was separate for YK and Misbah to finish on a high and also end the run of not winning in the West Indies. Those last few overs of blocking from Chase and Gabriel frustrated me but when Yasir got the wicket of Gabriel, I lost it lol.

Test - Pak V Windies what a great send off for Misbah and Younis.

ODI - CT final by a mile

Don't follow a lot of white ball cricket, and I'd say CT Final but I'm not sure it was a 'great match.' For me a great match is where fans of either side/neutrals can't be certain about the outcome until the very end.

Only one contender for Tests for me: WI remarkable win against England in Headingley this summer. Almost nobody believed it was possible.

Also NZ vs Aus at Hamilton where NZ won the decider and Boult took 6/33

Also Ban vs NZ at Cardiff

England v Pakistan Champion's trophy Semi Final

What an anti climax for the English team expecting to roll over Pakistan. Ben Stokes played an entire innings without hitting a single boundary

:)) :)) :))

That victory was analogous to our victory against SA in WT20 2009 which although was a very close game. But it gave us that extra impetus to go in to the final brimming with self belief and we went in and played our most complete game for some years and to achieve that under such a high pressure final against arch rivals was just perfect topping.

Test- that game against West Indies, to send off MisYou in the best possible fashion

ODI- The win against India in CT17 Final definitely top. The game against Sri Lanka was the most tense though, until Sarfraz guided us over the line.

T20I- The game Shadab debuted is memorable as he ripped through the West Indies

T20- Quetta Gladiators vs Peshawar Zalmi in the 1st Qualifier. That game still gets my heart rate going, it had everything! Closely followed by LQ v PZ 59 all out, Lahore Qalandars bowlers made that chase very exciting!

In ODI's - the CT final, CT India vs SL and CT Pakistan vs SL were all great games! Special mention to also the 1st ODI between Pak vs WI when WI chased down 316 - thrilling game!

In Tests - has to be the Shannon Gabriel bowled one.

Do not care for T20's

Aus vs NZ in feb this year i think when Stoinis smashed 146*(?) and batted mostly with the tail, it was heartbreaking for Aus.
NZ won ultimately

CT Final.

After phainta we received in 1st game and Sehwag's bakwas, the final was set up and Pakistan delivered on the day.

ODIs: From a gratification stand point, of course, CT final. But from a pure cricketing stand point, the CT Semifinal. It was just fun watching Hasan Ali and the Pakistan attack closing the vise around the English batting. It was that game that showed truly that bowling still has a place in cricket and how bowling attacks can dominate even in this batting dominated era.
Tests-have to agree on Pak vs. WI, but the Australia vs. Bangladesh match where BD pulled it out by 20 runs in Dhaka was an excellent game.
T20s-just don't know if there were enough this year to pick one worthwhile one.

For me 2017 final was best match and day of my life.Really enjoyed the tears of opposition country that day.

In Tests: 3 contenders are

1) West Indies vs Pakistan - 3rd Test where Yasir Shah bowled Shannon Gabriel to win the series
2) England vs West Indies - 2nd Test where West Indies won
3) Bangladesh vs Australia - Bangladesh's maiden victory over Aussies.

But the overall winner would have to be England vs West Indies at Leeds as everyone had written West Indies off and they played some amazing cricket to level the series in that match. May do ODI's and T20s best matches later too

I have to say the CT final was amazing to watch, I would consider the semi final of the tournament as a contender as it was great to see Pakistan defeat England who were considered one of the favourites of the tournaments especially our bowling.

For ODI's it would have to be Pakistan Sri Lanka in the Champions Trophy for me, although I have to admit that could simply be bias. That match was thrilling. I couldn't miss a ball once I started watching after my exam which was mid collapse, even if I just wanted to go to the toilet I would have to time it just right. Was so nervous in that match. Had no idea what would happen until the very end. Hardly had any nails left.

Notable mention to the ODI where Marcus Stoinis almost pulled of a sensational heist but that wasn't an ICC event hence I chose Pak SL.

ODI: Pakistan vs Srilanka: Champions Trophy Group Stage, followed by Bangladesh vs Newzealand Champions Trophy Group Stage.

T20: IPL Final

Test: Srilanka vs Pakistan, First Test

That's considering occasion a little. There were a few matches that were perhaps more thrilling but lots less at stake.

Notably Quetta Gladiators vs Islamabad United was probably in the top 0.001 percentile for absurd losses. Even on a "matches involving Pakistan" scale.

7 runs needed off 2 overs with 7 wickets in hand.

But it's too early to make this thread. It always is.

The best innings of 2015 was literally the last one. Happy New Year, courtesy Travis Head.

I've already posted what I thought the best matches were in Tests + ODI's, now for shortest format.

It would have to be the 2nd T20 between Australia and Sri Lanka at Geelong. Sri Lanka were 40-5 chasing 174 but then Gunaratne played a sensational innings, scoring 84 off 46 to snatch victory from the jaws of defeat.

Another great match was the 2nd T20 between Pakistan and Sri Lanka but that was only exciting because of the last over or 2 and was absolutely boring before that.

2 matches for me, the CT final between Pak vs India and that BD V NZ match. I didn't even expect Pak to win a single match, let alone the tournament. And damn, that Shakib and Muhmadulla literally came from nowhere and probably won them their best ever win.
