Birmingham City have revealed the design for a 62,000-seater stadium that will be the centrepiece of the Sports Quarter and it will be called 'The Powerhouse'.

The stadium design was unveiled at Digbeth Loc. Studios on Thursday afternoon by Blues chairman Tom Wagner, Bluenose and film director Steven Knight and Heatherwick Studios architect Eliot Postma.

Knight prepared a film for guests to reveal the stadium that included cameos from minority investor Tom Brady, Real Madrid and England superstar Jude Bellingham and Peaky Blinders actor Paul Anderson.

Definitely looks ugly. Those chimneys look hideous.

This design is as terrible as Tesla's Cybertruck.

Digbeth in Birmingham is the old part of the city. Birmingham had a lot of chimneys , at one time one of biggest industrial cities in the world. But this is 2025, looks outdated and weird.

It just looks odd. They could've had one small chimney perhaps. They added 12 chimneys!

What was the designer thinking? LOL.

The chimneys are actually there to support the heavy roofing..but yea ugly af.

If you turn it upside down, it becomes a table, they need all them extra legs to stay in the championship

Looks like it was designed by an arthouse Londoner, someone who probably thinks anywhere north of Watford is up north.

Its like those chimneys in some power station when you drive towards Nottingham. Its not a good look.
