BJP MLC Brijesh Singh Prishu and other guests attended the wedding ceremony and congratulated the groom's family.​


In a rare cross-border wedding, the son of a Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) corporator from Uttar Pradesh married a Pakistani woman through an online "nikah" on Friday night.

Tahseen Shahid, a BJP corporator, arranged the marriage of his son, Mohammad Abbas Haider, with Andleep Zahra, a resident of Lahore, Pakistan. However, due to ongoing political tensions, Haider was unable to secure a visa to visit Pakistan.

Complicating matters, the bride’s mother, Rana Yasmin Zaidi, was hospitalised in critical condition, prompting the families to opt for an online ceremony.


The ceremony took place at an imambara in Uttar Pradesh, with the groom’s family gathering in person while the bride’s family joined from Lahore.


Shia cleric Maulana Mahfoozul Hasan Khan officiated the wedding, confirming that Islamic law permits online "nikah" as long as the woman's consent is obtained and both sides are represented by religious leaders.


BJP Member of Legislative Council (MLC) Brijesh Singh Prishu was among the guests attending the event.

Haider expressed hope that his wife would soon receive an Indian visa, allowing the couple to reunite in person.

Congrats to both. Hope the girl gets Indian citizenship and lives with her husband in India.
 
Disgusted that anybody could give their blessing to their daughter to marry a Muslim BJP leader's son.

The whole family should be deported from Pakistan immediatedly.

Anyway, best wishes to the couple. From my observation, Pakistani women are really nice and submissive. They make a good life partner as compared to Bharatiya women majority of women have fallen victim to family breaking toxic western concept of feminism.

Its a weird one. Are online nikkahs valid?
Also i dont think it will last, nothing between the two countries has. Happy to proven wrong though..

Majority of the Pakistani women I have met were married and I knew them through their husbands. To their credit they were not at all flirtatious and exhibited a very high degree of loyalty.

On the contrary I have to often stop myself from getting into an affair with one of my friends wives in Bharat who are a lot more promiscuous. Just trying to blindly copy western culture without knowing that not all Western women really behave like they do in Hollywood movies in real life.

No issues with me either. They are grown adults and can do as they please provided the law permits. I just feel sorry for BJP haters from Pakistan after this news.

You’re right in the assertion that desi’s are losing sight of who we were..
 
After watching so many YouTube vids, many Pakistani girls are ready to marry Indians of any religion as Pak girls are fed up of hypocrisy, inflation, poverty, unemployment etc.

Apparently they are. We have Online nikahs via social Media been ongoing for a while in UK.

Shehzad Poonawalla, Nighat Abbas. Both are official spokesperson of BJP. I don't know how genuine they are with their views, but they have been doing their job for a few years now. There are a lot of people in the world who opt for better opportunities over their emotions or feelings.​

Same way as a Muslim politician can argue for LGBTQ rights in a western country. Generally when you are a minority you have to follow the agenda set by the majority if you want a seat at the table. So I am guessing a Muslim MP in India would have to rubber stamp mosque demolitions if that is what his party was advocating.

Nationalist Muslims do exist. Not everyone is high on Ummah concept.

There are plenty of Muslims in India that are very patriotic.

Could be revenge for RAW agents Sania Mirza and Shamia Arzoo finishing off the promising careers of Shoaib Malik and Hasan Ali. :inti
