BREAKING: US Attorney General Jeff Sessions resigns

Trump has been bashing Sessions ever since Sessions recused himself (rightly) from the Russia investigation.

Matthew Whitaker will be acting attorney general. This is what he said about the Robert Mueller investigation:

He wrote a column for CNN two months before joining the justice department arguing that if Mr Mueller's Russia inquiry began investigating Mr Trump or his family, it "would raise serious concerns that the special counsel’s investigation was a mere witch hunt".
