A friend of mine offered me this bat at a price I couldn't resist so I picked it up today, let me know what you lads think.

It weighs in at about 2.8ish and the edges are massive, just massive. I've only briefly tested the ping with an old ball and it seems more than promising, only time will tell of course but I'd be lying if I said I wasn't excited to get this beauty into the nets.

There are about 9 or 10 relatively straight grains but there's a rather large blemish on the edge, personally I don't mind it and as long as the bat performs, I couldn't care less. Anyhow, enough late night rambling, onto the photos!

Looks nice bro!

I was at Qasra the other day and held it and it picked up extremely well! The feel was good and I liked it.

I would be interested in seeing how it performs for you in comparison to your Kookaburra Blade.

Hows the pickup for you?

Oh that blemish? Its no biggie.

The pickup is excellent, probably on par with my Icon at least.

Yea, the blemish isn't a big deal, it's purely aesthetic so I don't really mind.

At the moment, it taps up similarly to my Kookaburra but not having used a laminated bat before, I don't know if the performance gets better over time or worse as the glue may break down. Time will be the judge of that I guess.

Chalo thats good!

I'm quite interested in knowing how it performs and how long it last for you really.

Also if I'm not mistaken isn't it same length as standard bat or its an inch shorter?

Looks Good & Huge for 2.8...

CA does not make 2.8 anymore I guess
because their website says the weight range is from 2.10-3.02 LBS

It happens often, GM claims anything but Original LEs don't come in 2.7 yet I've seen every grade of GM bat in not only 2.7 but 2.6.

I don't think it's any shorter than any of my other bats, certainly seems the same upon picking it up and laying them down side by side.

The blemish is good a big deal
and the bat looks really good and hope u score a lot of runs with it ;)

Any advice on knocking this one in?

I've knocked in a bunch of English bats but never a CA, let alone a Pakistani bat and certainly not a laminate at that.

I've rounded the edges as usual but I'm not sure what more to do.

Just do the usual oiling and then knocking of the edges specially--- no different tactic is required. Have fun with that lightweight behemoth :D

Thanks dude.

I only figured this might be different as English bats (especially GNs) are always pressed rock hard so take a little extra time.

Will let you know how it goes. :)

Do take a ball and see if seam marks appear or not, then you'll find out if its fully knocked or not. Generally the CAs that I have seen don't require as much knocking as compared to GN, GM etc.

How do you round off the edge Rizzy bhai?

I just use a bat mallet and glance the edges, works pretty well.

I'm thinking I'll knock in the middle very lightly and then give it a try in the nets. I'd rather not spend any more time than is necessary.

ca gel or plus extra power

CD bhai.. can u tell me which one is better and price list if you have any info.. thanks . i just bought ca plus extra power for usd 160 u think its a good price for

Looks a nice bat. Let us know how it goes in terms of ping and response in the nets.

Welcome to PakPassion, I hope you enjoy your stay here :)

Considering you're in US I'd say it is a fair price.

Not really, it's about 2.8 and picks up nicely so I wouldn't say it's any heavier than what I'm used to.

That does look pretty nice. And I'm very surprised it feels light...

I bought a Gel from a member on here not long ago... was advised it was heavy but didn't realise how heavy... but boy is it big!!
