As a batsmen, Stokes has already surpassed Flintoff and is in the league of Botham. However, as a bowler also, he has been effective and has turned several games on his own.

He already has more 5-fers than Flintoff and averages similar with the bowl. Do you think he can surpass Flintoff as a bowler?

Where would you rank him as an all-rounder?

Yes.

If he doesn’t go to jail.

He isn’t in Botham’s League. That guy had 24 test fivefers and four tenfers.

Never. Ben Stokes does not have the skill set to be as impactful as Andrew Flintoff. Flintoff was a feared bowler during that 2004-2006 period, and while Stokes is a better bat, Flintoff’s sheer match-winning ability with the ball means he is still the better all-rounder

One can throw the stats to dustbin while talking about Flintoff's ability with the bowl. He was the standout performer for England in their greatest ever win in the history of cricket(Ashes 2005).

Watching him bowl at his peak was a delight for fans. His match-winning ability with the bowl was phenomenal and it will require Stokes to take atleast 10 5-fers to match Andrew Flintoff-the bowler.

Coming to Stokes, he is a much better batsmen than Flintoff though and although has shown the ability that he can turn the game with the bowl, he still has some way to go to reach Flintoff level as a bowler.

I think if he doesn't go to jail, he will end up as good a batsmen as Botham was and as good a bowler as Freedie was.

From Wormwood Scrubs?

Have you followed the first day of his criminal trial? It’s not looking good!

No way . Flintoff is miles ahead a bowler in tests and MILES ahead in Odi. Have you seen stokes struggle in LOI ?

In LO though, there is no comparison. One is an ATG while other is a bottler.

Statically He will surpass Flintoff in test cricket for sure. Just need a dominant series like ashes'05. Overall I think he is quite underrated as a test bowler. he always deliver when England needs most.

In odi cricket he disappointed with his bowling so far in his career. High economy rate & erratic control is his biggest problems so he will not even get close to Flintoff in odi stats as a bowler.
