The title says it all.

India since winning 2013 CT:-

Lost in final to Sri Lanka, World T20-2014
Lost in semi-final to Australia, WC-2015
Lost in semi-final to West Indies, World T20-2016
Lost in final to Pakistan, CT-2017

Were odds on favorites in 3/4 of these matches.

Clearly a pattern there that India would like to walk away from come this Sunday.

Losing to Australia was not choke as they were superior to us in every aspect..

What a meaningless thread is this? big match tri-series? really? Did you follow this series to even post a thread like this? Nonsensical !

I don't think Indians would look at this as a huge match unlike some of those you listed there. Irrespective, their recent performances in Tournament finals/deciders has been a pretty massive improvement to the late 90's in particular.

For Bangladesh, this is a massive game. Would this be their first multi-tournament trophy of note?

Big Match lol

Even bangladesh were more keen to beat Lanka

Beating India main team is what Bangladesh truly wants.

This is surely is not a true Indian Team !!!! So the Final will be a little bit more even than otherwise. BD has a good chance to win this match if they get to field First since the Indians love to chase. Whosoever wins the Toss, will Field first for sure. In the end though, the Indians will find way to win, wether they bat or field first !!!!

Excellent, excellent. Bangladesh has become the biggest Asian rivals of India in recent past mostly due to the fact that India no longer plays any bilateral matches against Pakistan.

@fc bhai, I don't think india will manage to avoid a choke In Sundays epic tri series final. Furthermore, I don't think Sunday is a lucky day for India. If I am not wrong 18 June was also Sunday :uakmal

India will be lucky to put up a show in the final. Considering that the match is against the might Bangladesh, India will probably lose by a big margin.

Here we go again. Of course India is going to have losses in tournaments, otherwise they would have won 100% of tournaments.

If you look at the data, India has won 60% (3/5) of WC finals they have played in, and 100% (11/11) of the games against their biggest rivals in the WCs. Definitely not chokers in big matches :)

BANG will make India to lose by an inning, they have snakes too in their team, I would be worried as an Indian fan at this moment,

No one gives two hoots about this useless tournament.. Credit to BD boys for all the passion and bringing life to this tournament but not many people in India care about this tournament..

So big Teri series final is just a big LOL from your side.

These were all world cup finals or semi finals. India won the Asia cup. India won't choke but it will be close final. If jaydev and siraj played to gather then it will be match to lose for india. Bangladeshi bowling is not able to defend anything less than 250. They have inky chance if india players have bad power play and slow middle order won't put more than 160. Anything above 160 is out of their batting reach.

India winning is not a big thing. But losing is a big thing. It is not exactly a win win situation for India.

India are using this tournament to try out new players. The game is more important for Bangladesh as they need to sure they can win in pressure situations . They have come close in recent years but always fallen short. Winning India here could give them confidence moving forward.

I would have rather SL and BD played the final as they both are on a similar level. Also I wonder how many SriLankans would show up for the match. Hopefully this Indian B side doesn't thrash BD too badly.

Haha what choke...Last time BD choked with 1 run required from 3 balls.India will beat bangla any day ,anywhere, any time.
Wish Kohli was playing. They would not even attempt these nagin celebrations.Saanp soong jata inhein

It might not be a big match for India, but if somehow BD win they will declare it a national holiday and erect statues of the playing eleven in every village square :))

And I fully expect them to burst into tears if (when) they lose.

Man, BD will not replace Pakistan as a India's rival even if both the countries make peace politically. I support BD as a team but even SL and Ind matches are more competitive than matches with BD

On one hand for India's cricketing future's sake i hope India loses in the final. Otherwise we will see unadkat and his ilk in the team :). on the other hand for the sake of all cricket viewer's sanity I want India to win so that we can bring an end to this cobra celebrations. Not sure what to pray for. May be for the sake of greater good I should wish India wins :)

Tension mat lo.Aaj india been bhajayegi inki

As expected most Indians being in the denial mode about the fear of losing yet another match that matters. Denial of fearing the humiliation that is looming. Denial of the fear of being chased away by the nagin dance.

We all remember how badly they were humiliated by Pakistan in CT final last yesr after Indian fans and experts had shown the most shameful level of arrogance against their opponents.

All delusions aside, India has been enjoying the favourites tag for years but the team falls apart in matches that matter.

Once again these fans are trying their best to play down the hype of the final on Sunday because India clearly has nothing to gain from it but there's everything to lose if Bangladesh comes out of victorious.

India and Indians have always been hesitant of giving Bangladesh cricket the respect it deserves.

Why did CT final come into picture for every random thread here? Do you have only that win against India to boast about? Mate first try to break the 11-0 streak against India in World cup. One Final against India means not the end of the world and to answer your above post, you will go hiding when India wins over these minnows on Sunday. Already Bangladesh was thrashed by India twice in this series. Doing it third time is a no big deal. You better focus on how to win matches against the depleted NZ without a whitewash.

He is Indian bro.

If Bangladesh wins, one country will win. If India wins, the whole world will win.

And get spared from the nagin celebrations.

In your dreams :)

This is a second strung India team which hasn't yet has been fully stretched. I am sure BD will remember the Bangalore choke where they failed to make 2 runs in 3 balls.

Choking used to mean losing from a winning position Nowadays, just losing equates to choking.

Lost in final to Sri Lanka, World T20-2014
One man singlehandedly ruined the match. Mr Yuvraj Singh. It's unfair blaming the team for that loss.

Lost in semi-final to Australia, WC-2015
Australia were the better team.

Lost in semi-final to West Indies, World T20-2016
West Indies were the better team, everyone underestimated them, thats all. They are a beastly T20 side.

Lost in final to Pakistan, CT-2017
There was no choke here.. Pakistan got a grip on the game quite early and never let go. One Bumrah No ball later, Pakistan caught India's neck in a pincer grip and never let go.

And finally if OP considers this a big game, with India fielding a third string team, then the OP has to get his head examined.

It is definitely a big game for Bangladesh. They will surely be over emotional and crazy during the game for sure.

The way BD was celebrating their win against SL, I thought for a moment that it was the final. Yeah, big game for BD but just another one for India.

Hope BD puts up a good fight

Posts like this egg on the Pakistan contingent more to shove that CT win down Indian fans' throats at every opportunity. Will keep happening till the next time India and Pakistan meet. Indian fans forget the arrogance that was on display before the final. All in good fun.

It is really arrogant of OP to present an India C loss as "choke". Have some respect for Bangladeshi Cricketers.

The title of this thread should be ' will bd choke against IND B team?'. Come on , this is ind b team ,not ind. So bd should win this,if not then they should stop playing.

Exactly people think losing = choking well said..

CT 2017 final can be considered a choke in a way because India were a better team than Pakistan and due to the huge amount of pressure on the players during the game they couldn’t win.. India vs Pakistan is about who handles pressure better and on that day Pakistan handled pressure better and won..

As expected, Indian fans coming up with all sort of excuses already to defend the humiliation that awaits them. Feel ashamed to have belonged to this group in the past. Have some shame and show some competitive spirit. Victories and defeats are part of the game, when you represent your nation at the highest level there is no such thing as a second string team.

Pathetic and shameful.

When you wear your uniform there is no tag of "A" or B" written in it. You will only play for your country. So these all "A" "B" things are ********. There will be no denying that India sent their young team but that does not mean they are bad players in fact they are the future Indian team who will dominate most of the teams. And this Indian team is still favorite to win this cup. These so called Indian fans are actually insulting their own players by calling "C" team. And it is not that BD had not beat Indian "A" team in other format in the past. In fact there were some defeats that many Indian spectators are still telling about that. Somewhere I read that legend Sachin's worst cricketing day was the day when Indian team got out of the 2007 wc and he cried that day.

Sunday's final will be very important for Rohit Sharma's young team as they will be the hot favorite team to lift the trophy. And of-course BD will play the final with more intensity and will do their best to beat India.

The only thing that has upset Bangladeshi fans in this thread is you attributing a very probable Indian loss to "choke". So, forget other Indian fans, and tell us why you lack respect for the Bangladesh Cricket team? Can't they beat this C grade Indian side fair and square?

The reference as a B team or second strung team is not a demeaning reference but you are welcome to disagree. A, B, C... doesn't necessarily translate to an inferior team but a backup team/player(s) in case the original ones are unavailable for any reason, as in Plan A, B.
As for "In the past", and in case you missed, BD has a 0-7 T20 and Test, a 5-27 ODI record against India so yeah, stats support the fact that BD has historically under-performed when playing India against the A and B teams and expect the same tomorrow.

When players are vested emotionally in the game, it is natural that they cry and there is no shame in that and I respect that. Remember Wahab Riaz crying after Pak's loss to Australia. He bowled his heart out and if you were watching that game, you could feel it. I can share player names from all countries where they have cried on a loss.

However a choke, IMHO, is more humiliating than a defeat. BD had the epic fail in Bangalore (failed to make 2 runs off 3 balls). Mushfiqur and Mahamudullah celebrated earlier in the over showing their immaturity and the entire team was eventually owned by MSD. I remember it because there was some very vitriolic and insensitive criticism directed by the BD fans towards the Indian captain where they went to the extent of showing MSD's decapitated head being held by a BD player and to me that was way below LOW and I have never had any respect for the BD fans since.

BD is just a below mediocre team who is NEVER expected to win against any of the MAJOR teams (India,Pakistan,England,Australia). Once in a while it does manage a fluke win as it did against Australia but it is what I just said, a fluke. This is mine and mine opinion alone.

Don't want Rohit to fire. If he fires match is killed right there for Bangladesh. Want one of the youngster to show up and do well.

The value of original banter is just lost on some people.

Hope that Unadkat and co. get smashed but India wins :amla

For Bangladesh, this is a massive game. Would this be their first multi-tournament trophy of note?

It would be our first, but it wouldn't be noteworthy.

1) No one cares about T20 format.
2) This is an Indian C team. Over the years we've knocked India's main team out of enough tournaments to not go crazy over this.

This is final. Not knock out stage. Second Bangladesh has never beaten India in a T20 even the C team. So it is a big test for them. For India win or lose will not gain much.

Hang on the match is on 18th March.. and it’s a Sunday

I’m sniffing a BD fluke :yk

That Bangalore 2016 game counts as a win in my book. Besides, I personally don't care about T20.

If we assume that ODIs are more prestigious, than I'm content with the ODI wins we've had vs India's first string side.

Not saying I wouldn't be pleased if Bangladesh won tomorrow, but I don't thinks it important at all. Others may disagree.

Lol what? A loss counts as a win? Haha. Congrats on winning the 2015 word cup too.

A silly game against SL meant the world to your team. This is a final. Doesn’t matter if its against a purposely depleted side if Bangladesh wins you’ll have holiday in your school for a week.

Either way, I'll enjoy it.

If bd loses, bd players crying will be hilarious.

If bd wins, bd players jumping up and down will be entertaining too.

They do look like a bunch of 10 year old in the field.

Others may disagree. To me, its meh whatever. Even if the side had Kohli and Co, its just a random T20 match in a random tournament. I'll always cherish the ODI series in against the full strenght Indian side in 2015. That was a good competitive series. The World Cup win in 2007 was also a classic. Just my opinion. If someone else thinks T20 matches are the pinnacle of the game, thats fine with me.

A win ? 👎, Surely in your mind alone as the official result indicated otherwise.
It was the mother of all chokes, ever. I mean which other team couldn't make 2 runs to win or even a single to tie the match in 3 balls, of course, BD

Oh wow million dollar attitude.
No wonder bangladesh is the 10 times world champion.

I suppose the name of the book is 'Chokers and the Elusive Trophy' Vol. 8 - by South Africa feat. Bangladesh.

The centre pages have colour photographs of the Bangladesh team bursting into tears on the balcony of the Leela Palace that night, obviously delighted after the win.

Don't understand the point of this thread .. this is not a knockout match of an ICC tournament. We have actually done well otherwise which also includes winning Asia Cup against BD.

Some of the comments by Bangladesh fans here are pretty cringeworthy. Calling the Bangalore choke effectively a win, and claiming that some random 3 match series at home after the World Cup in 2015 is more important that a multi-team trophy.

I don't think people are realising how important winning crunch matches and trophies are in the development of teams. That's a true test of character, and something that does wonders for team's mentality. Even in football, some of the greatest dynasties/teams have started their reign with a relatively insignificant trophy. (League Cup for United/Chelsea/City's great teams, Copa del Rey for Madrid/Barca).

If I were a BD team I would be praying they win this somehow. Might be the time they finally take the step up to one of the middle teams of the world.

Of course it counts as a win in your book. You are still baffled how BD came that close to winning the game. And ofcourse you are content with winning a couple of games here and there. Now that's exactly how a minnow would think though. BD cricket team has shed the minnow tag a couple of years ago but the fans like you haven't.

Big Match ?? Really??

Nidharas trophy?? Lol..

That too against MINNOWS?

Only these are big matches

WC & T20i must wins, semis and finals, and some important test matches.

It may not be a big match and India's win in this final won't be a big deal but you can argue India of choking if they lose in final against BD.India have already beaten BD twice in this tournament and BD is yet to defeat India in a T20 match.

[I know choking doesn't necessarily means below par performance or upsets but I really like the word "Choking",so gonna use it anyway:P]

The choke is definitely on. Despite Chahal's stunning spell, Bangladesh have been able to post a total much better than they should have thanks to India's non existent pace attack.

India should be ashamed to field players like Thakur and Shankar.

There goes Rohit and probably India's hopes along with him.

Another pressure match choke on the cards.

What a win!

The total opposite of a choke.

Wow. Looked like they were going to choke as it seemed it would be a straightforward win when Sharma was batting nicely but then they stuttered in the middle. Dinesh Karthik played an amazing innings.
