Can Pakistan still qualify for the knockout phase of Champions Trophy 2025?

Our nrr like minus 3 maybe

We will need to beat Bangladesh for more than a near impossible margin. Like we may have to score 450ish to have a chance

- Bangladesh beats New Zealand.
- Pakistan beats Bangladesh by a MAMMOTH - margin.
- India beats New Zealand.

NZ loses both matches BIG

NZ should lose to Bangladesh by a close margin but lose to India by mamooth margin, that's the easy condition for Pakistan.
Else margin against Bangladesh would be insane

Every ICC tournament, Pakistan fans pull out their calculators to run tru qualification scenarios (just like RCB in IPL). Quite comical tbh.
 
If NZ beat Bangladesh tmrw, Pakistan, despite being hosts, will be the first team eliminated.
 
Every tournament same story for Pakistan , first lose an all important match than the match against India then bring out the calculators to try different combinations to find a way to qualify to the next round.

- BD beating NZ.
- Pakistan beating BD by a good margin.

Bangladesh has much better chances of qualifying, we should stop bothering with this tbh.

Take it as a lesson and actually work on improving yourself. I don’t want to see this filth represent Pakistan anymore. I went to sleep during our batting, what’s the point of playing if you cannot entertain your fans?

He can mathematically still become US president even if he is not born there. It requires US constitutional amendment which although is unlikely is not impossible. So yes he can mathematically become US president but obviously chances are very less

BD will get trashed tomorrow and Pak will be the first to get eliminated. BD doesn’t have the firepower to win matches against quality opponents on good surfaces.
 
New Zealand will beat Bangladesh tomorrow and all this discussion will be over.
 
Pak is pretty much out of CT and NZ will officially seal it tomorrow. The sooner fans and pak team accepts its better instead of prolonging the agony another day. You can lo5no worries but this timid pathetic approach is killing the ind pak game vibes and doesn't make pak a watchable team at all.

Bangladesh has better spinners and better pacers and better lower order batters.

People forget that Pakistan's dominance over Bangladesh in recent times was due to shaheen (prime) and fakhar zaman.

Man Pakistanis spend half their time doing all sorts of permutation combination.....They will crack any exam based on permutation right now. Will Fail in all other exams though.

Sorry bro but will disagree on this. For all the inadequacies this pak team has they should win over Ban comfortably. The way Ban played against Afg when they had a chance to create history, had a once in a lifetime opportunity to qualify for a WC SF in the 23 WC showed that they will be mental midgets ever. This generation and the future generations too.

They played defensively that game to settle for a consolation win when they could have inspired an entire generation with a qualification win and in the process actually ended up losing the games.

Based on your track record, if you want Pakistan to progress to the playoffs, you should root for a NZ win. That way BD will win and there will be some chance for Pakistan.
 
Pakistan don't deserve to qualify. They are a laughing stock in cricketing terms.

Cant keep going this route, of hoping to rely on others, Pakistan should try to win the match for prides sake, but we will not be going to the semi-finals, and do not deserve too, hopefully after the tournament ends....PCB can start doing the right things...key word hopefully

India can still be eliminated mathematically. Here's how:

- NZ beating India by a big margin (India's NRR isn't that big; 1 big loss can damage that NRR badly).
- Bangladesh beating both NZ and Pakistan.

If these two things happen, India can be eliminated due to an inferior NRR.

Again, this is just a mathematical possibility. Quite unlikely to happen.:inti

India beat NZ
Pakistan beat BD

The team’s prospects of reaching the final four took a significant blow after they suffered a dismal six-wicket defeat at the hands of arch-rivals India at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium on Sunday.

With two losses out of as many games, Pakistan’s chances of qualifying for the semifinals have darkened, but mathematically, they are still in the running. The team, led by Mohammad Rizwan, now depends on the results of the remaining three Group A matches.

Sitting at the bottom of Group A, Pakistan’s first hope lies in Bangladesh defeating New Zealand on February 24, followed by the Green Shirts securing a comprehensive victory over Bangladesh on February 27 to improve their net run rate and earn crucial points.

Subsequently, Pakistan will hope that India defeats New Zealand, ensuring the Black Caps remain on two points with an inferior net run rate.

If all the results go in Pakistan’s favour, Pakistan and New Zealand would have two points each and the team with better net net run rate will progress to the semi-final stage along with topper India.

Pakistan is out of the tournament. All this math and calculation won’t help now. You can’t win trophies with a mediocre team and mediocre players especially when Khushdil Shah is part of your frontline spin attack.

With boult out of the tournament, Bd have a really good chance to show their credentials.
They've done it on Pakistani soil before and should show the world they've appeared on the big stage

agreed with such horrible lineup its more than a miracle that they are allowed to compete in this top 8 teams mega event.... they should have replace them with SL

Back to our Calculation as usual, if Team X defeats Team Y by 500 Runs, Team Z's bus meets with an accident, and Team A's cricketers get fever, then Pakistan will Qualify for the Semis....
 
There are many smart people here, with the help of AI, can someone find a formula for Pakistan team to qualify for SF even after losing to Bangladesh , because they going to lose against them too.
 
I will be supporting BD team to beat Pakistan team. If Pakistan won, it will serve no purpose but if it loses, that will created real pressure to go ahead with the surgery Pakistan cricket badly needs and I hope this disaster, called Naqvi will be asked to leave Pakistan cricket alone.
 
Pak has no realistic chance. They should start focusing on their next event - tour to NZ . Should be like Eng revamp after their 2015 WC disaster.
 
If Bangladesh beats New Zealand but more than 300 runs of by 20 wickets and India also beat Kiwis by the same margin then we can go ahead... #POSTIVEVIBES

Quite humiliating for Pakistan to not even qualify for the semis in a tournament held at home. We witnessed this first hand during Independence cup held in India in '97.

Was very shameful for us.
