We have some v.good established test players like Azhar, Yasir and some v.good youngsters like Amir, Hasan, Babar, Haris etc.

I personally believe we will atleast win 1 of our next series in SA / Aus under the captaincy of master captain Sarfraz Ahmed.

What do you think?

In all seriousness this is a fine team and will give the above mentioned teams a real tough time

Azhar
Sami/Sharjeel
Haris
Babar
Usman
Asad/Fawad/Shadab/allrounder
Sarfraz
Yasir
Amir
Hasan
Abbas/Bowler

kch bi?

no way beating aus or south africa at their den is not possible with young inexperience test team

Replace Abbas with Bashir and Talat/Yamin at 6.

Yes, we can, inshaAllah.

Still a long way to go. Salman Butt and Hafeez may be making comebacks in the Test squad and Sami Aslam is yet to have been sleected. So, you can't say too much. I'm not entirely convinced with Abbas either, even though his wickets column is good. We need a more threatening option. Someone taller, someone faster and someone who can actually swing the cherry.

Hasan Ali is a good addition to the Test squad but I'm not ecstatic he's there. Hasan Ali is undoubtedly one of Pakistan's premier bowlers and I'm not sure if he can handle the burden of playing all formats + PSL + county.

We are in south africa next year, time to prepare for that is that now. we are also playing two tests very early in england next year which could be very challenging conditions.

I'm sorry but in test team we lack batsmen who can play swing bowling with ease. So no matter how easily we can take wickets with Sarfaraz's captaincy and our brilliant bowling but we don't have the batsmen in tests anymore to pull it off.
Our batsmen need some time to be able to play swing.

They will not select salman butt.

Don't think a Champions Trophy or any LoI win can be the basis for such a call.

Pakistan's test team still has plenty of holes especially now after Younis and Misbah's retirements.

Nooo... let's not get too carried away. Pak still have major batting issues.. positives azhar, baber, fakhar..

Weak link..

Hafeez, shehzad, Malik

South Africa they might win a test or odi.. but Aussie tours r always tough...

Test cricket is a different ball game.

To win series in Test Cricket all around world a team must have 2-3 ATG batters/bowlers who must annihilate oppositions in key sessions :viv

Azhar, Haris, Babar, Usman all capable of playing long innings. The last 3 dont have much international experience now but once settled can really score big. Some master domestic innings under their belt.

Also in my honest opinion these guys are better players of fast bowling than Misbah/Younis.

I think we are just getting carried away now :))

Let's just enjoy the win and the moment for now.
