Team Khyber Pakhtunkhwa head coach Abdul Razzaq has vowed to ready power hitters for Pakistan cricket and bring back aggression in team’s white-ball strategy.

The former Test cricketer said that he sees Faheem Ashraf, Hassan Ali, Ammad Butt and Asif Ali as potential power hitters for the team.

“I would love to help Pakistani players be good power hitters,”he said.

“You need to cover few areas like bat swing, your balance while playing the shot, and your eyes on the ball. If you send these players to me, it will take me two three days to guide them on this,” Abdul Razzaq added.

Razzaq represented Pakistan in 46 Tests, 265 ODIs and 32 T20Is. He was regarded as one of the finest power hitters of the country.

He is now the coach of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa side in Pakistan’s domestic tournament and won third trophy as coach in the season on Sunday when his side won the Pakistan Cup one day tournament.

Razzaq emphasized on the importance of power hitting at lower orders, saying that every team now needs someone who can add quick runs towards the end.

“Hasan Ali is usually known as fast bowler but I can see that he has the ability to become a good power hitter,” he said.

Talking about his experience as the head coach of a side, Abdul Razzaq said that he tried to apply what he learnt as a player.

Elaborating further, the former all-rounder said that he does not do any anything that he didn’t like from the coaches himself during his days as a player.

“Being a former player, I know what can motivate a player and what can put negativity on him. So, I avoided doing all such things that would bring negativity in dressing room,”he said.

“There’s a difference between coaching at domestic level and coaching at international level. At domestic level, your primary focus is on development of players while at international level your focus shifts to a lot of other things,” he highlighted.

From 2 weeks with Pandya to 2 days with Hassan and Faheem. Razzaq’s magical coaching abilities are progressing rapidly.

Next he will be able to turn Faheem into Imran Khan in 2 minutes.

Maybe he should have self-coached himself into becoming a quality Test all-rounder.

The coaches that he worked with failed to do that.

Won a treble with KPK

Pakistan will become invincible if he becomes their coach

If he can coach this well, then he should help players out of his own good will.

These are just empty statements, KPK has mostly polished players in their XIs so don't let that fool you.

What's the need for such statements? Why are all these ex players so hungry for attention? If you think you can help, then do it in the right way and contact the appropriate people rather than giving statements like this.

Really glad Razzaq has come out and said this and cleared up any ideas people may have had about him being some big brain coach.

Just like his youtube channel, he is nothing to get excited about.

Wow!!

May be he should release a complete make believe deliverable chart with timelines and key milestones.

Like Making Power hitter out of Hasan- 2 days
Making a speed demon out of Abbas- 4 days
Teaching outswinger to Shaheen - 1 week
Event planning for Nauman's 45th birthday - 2 days

Something along the above lines.

Well is it that hard to call his bluff. Give him a few days with these guys and lets see what happens. Its not as if we lose anything if he fails

Nauman birthday is a golden one bro.

One thing for sure Razzaq can be better bowling coach than Waqar and head coach than Misbah.

Razzaq should partner with Tony Robbins and release a set of DVD’s: Power hitting and the key to motivation, success and self confidence. Turn your life around in under 2 minutes. Tips and tricks for the bedroom included!

He should write a book: “Crash course to win a world cup in two days”

Hahaha.

I mean he's not really asking for much lol. It sounds absurd but really nothing to lose for either player to spend a long-weekend with faujl. If we can give coaches like Waqar Younis so many chances and the likes of Kamran Akmal "just 3 chances" then why not Razzaq?

What is stopping him from reaching out to these players and helping them out? As an ex-player he has every right to help out his countrymen. Is there anything that I'm not reading?

They are already power hitters to be fair. What we could do with is a former pro bowler who could come in and teach them how to use the new ball.

Really wish people would stop getting triggered by off hand comments from ex sport stars

😂😂😂😂🤣🤣😂😂

These were my thoughts when reading this post

He makes these flashy comments just to make his point everybody knows they actually mean nothing. He knows himself that's not possible.
