And choose Flat pitch since this is a T20. From the PCL experience we have seen that bowling friendly pitches tend to be a lottery, that is highly dependent on toss.

And so the game draws to a tame conclusion with Pune Warriors claiming an impressive victory by 42 runs. A solid, if unspectacular performance there by Pune Warriors and they will no doubt want to build on the foundation laid today. The bowlers were probably licking their lips when they saw the pitch today - the pitch was very sporting, to say the least. All of the disciplines benefited greatly throughout the day. These two teams were fairly evenly matched so it was tough to predict the outcome. That being said Pune Warriors proved to be the stronger in the end and snatched victory.

EngrOmair what do u think about the line up and pitch?

You should wait for the pitch young man

I've selected a balanced team with 2 spinners if it's a spinning pitch & 2 international seamers who can make use of a seaming wicket & Somerset's batting has always been strong so doesn't matter how the pitch plays this team can win on any wicket.

Batman can u pls tell the pitch attributes? Are they the same as my home ground? I chose University Oval,Newzeland so will the pitch attributes for this game be the same as that?

What a finish! A nail-biter to the very end. Well played to both teams, but in the end, there can be only one winner. Somerset will breathe a sigh of relief after today's match and will be hoping to be more authoritative in the next one. Probably a fair pitch in the greater scheme of things. There was something in it for the bowlers especially in terms of swing and seam. These two teams were fairly evenly matched so it was tough to predict the outcome. That being said Somerset proved to be the stronger in the end and snatched victory.

And so the game draws to a tame conclusion with Hobart Hurricanes claiming an impressive victory by 5 wickets. A solid, if unspectacular performance there by Hobart Hurricanes and they will no doubt want to build on the foundation laid today. The bowlers were probably licking their lips when they saw the pitch today - the pitch was very sporting, to say the least. All of the disciplines benefited greatly throughout the day. These two teams were fairly evenly matched so it was tough to predict the outcome. That being said Hobart Hurricanes proved to be the stronger in the end and snatched victory.
