Chances of Kevin Pietersen coming back now that Alastair Cook is no longer England Test captain?

With Cook resigning this morning, Is there a possibility of KP returning to the England fold ?

The possibility is slim, if at all probable because KP hasn't been regularly playing in Domestic FC Cricket and Andrew Strauss, the England Cricket Director - the man that shunned Pietersen from an England return is still in charge.

Discuss!

No chance he comes back. Not playing domestic cricket doesn't help his cause. Also he isn't exactly setting the world alight in the t20 leagues he plays in. Seems happy to get his pay check and perform in one or two games. I don't think his fitness levels are that great and his fielding has never been his strong point, with his age it will get worse. England seem to want to invest in youth, KP is nearly 37.

One final thing with KP is you require 2 plane tickets for him, one for himself and the other for his ego. Add all this together and he has no chance of playing for England again.

Absolutely no chance at all and wouldn't want him back anyway.

None but it won't stop Piers Morgan from crying about it endlessly on Twitter as he is now.

Cook maybe gone but Strauss is still in charge, he hates KP more than anyone.

May be if cook had resigned prior to india series. but i dont see any chance now.

I don't think Cook was even involved in the ouster of KP. He just probably didn't demand his inclusion in the side.

KP mucked up with Textgate. A lot of players from any side would have been dropped after that, and especially since KP already had a bad history. Management just kept him because he was scoring runs. As soon as he stopped, they chucked him out.

If anything the main players KP had issues with are still there, Broad and Anderson. So don't see KP returning.

I would rather have KP in tests than Ballance, Duckett or Vince.

.

Actually Cook insisted on KP's return when he became skipper. But he couldn't handle KP either, and agreed with the decision to drop him the second time.

No chance at all that he will return. Even if Strauss forgives him, Root will have enough to cope with without KP.

Has as much chance as Mohammad Yousuf coming back to play for Pakistan.
