As we all know this is unlikely but any chance happening of this most awaited series?

Not likely unless miracle stand by Modi and Sharif

India has already made plans to tour SA for 4 tests and 5 ODI's in December.

They are not like PCB who release their schedules 1 month before they play.

Cricket series will not happen but we may see PCB and BCCI face off in court.

this series is in November-December in India Home schedule

If they can make it a live stream type of event, I'd be most certainly willing to pay top dollar to see that. Would make for some epic viewing to be honest.

ZERO

Can't expect any cricket we have got armies killing each other (and innocent civilians) and PCB taking legal action vs BCCI.

Anybody list the expected Pak line up in 2017. I'll list out the Indian line up so that we can play a hypothetical series.

We are in 2017 Bhai!!

So apart from Misbah lineup will be same

At most one of the Pacers apart from Amir will make way for a spinner

How embarrassing:facepalm:

I'm still not mentally in 2017 lol.:ibutt

Anyway isn't the series slated in jan 2018 or sth like that?

its not about revenue anymore , there is a lot of tension between two countries and its not going to subside for at least 5 more years. India might not even play pakistan in champions trophy.

Honestly would love to see Pakistan visiting for a tour.

This Indian team has become a machine, partly because it has some very good cricketers and partly because the standard of spin playing is very low at the moment. This team has already gone unbeaten for 17 or 18 months. Once saw a stat tweet from Andy Zaltzman that India now is statistically the toughest place ever for a visiting batsman, even more than Windies during the 80s. Don't know how true it is. Forget about winning a series, even winning a match in India has become an elusive task. Wonder which will be the first visiting team to win a match in India (Australia maybe?)

But if there's one team that could challenge India atm, it is Pakistan. Would be the most epic series, I would give an arm to see a 4 match test series between India and Pakistan atm in India or anywhere else.

The problem is that the Pakistan side is coming to a decline as well (if not already)

A Pakistan-India matchup in 2015 would have been a blockbuster and I would have backed us home and away.

Right now not so much.

However there is also the argument that this Indian side hadn't reached its peak in 2015

:D May be Bangladesh in February 2017 :D

We were inexperienced in 2015. Not many would've played 40 matches.

Pakistan isn't in a situation where India was after 2011 when the team was full of oldies (Sehwag, Gambhir, Dravid, Tendulkar, Laxman, Bhajji, Zaheer) and the whole team needed a revamp. Pakistan has just 2 players who need to be replaced. Younis probably will retire much later. So it's only really Misbah who needs to be replaced and I'm sure Fawad Alam or Haris Sohail would do that.

Pakistan has a nice mixture of youth (Sami, Babar, Amir) and experienced (Azhar, Asad, Wahab, Sarfaraz, etc.). Not all their players belong in the same age group like India. So it doesn't need a total revamp and the transition will be much smoother. I'm sure Pakistan will do just fine after the retirement of the two.

in SRILANKA :yk3

Ok fine there aswell.

We will unleash our weapon once again who averaged 12 with the ball in SL while bowling between 126-134 kph. And foxed 3-4 Fifty plus averaging Test batsman.

Make sure it's not rainy season in SL.

Don't forget to account for the catches dropped and the hypothetical averages :afridi

And obviously there is the small matter of who takes home the moral victory trophy

How about we meet in the middle and play 2 tests of the series in UAE and 2 tests in India.

That way both will be happy

Are as low as that of Imran Khan becoming the PM of Pakistan.

Looks like we are going to SA to collect some protears. after what we do to you in champions trophy you won't want to play us for a while anyway!

you guys should invite some minnows to tour PAK for a proper series, get that ball rolling.

Blame the media for it. Some educated people in India think if you are playing Pakistan, you are funding terrorism. I never got to understand the logic behind it. Maybe some educated Pakistanis can help me understand it.

That confirms it, 2017 series with India will go through, since Immy is the next PM in 2018. Thank you Mamoon.

WI didn't lose a series at home for 22 years, not sure how a stretch of 17-18 months is equatable to the former era and generation of domination.

SA have invited India to SA at the same time as this series is scheduled, so 0% chance of this going through

Azhar
Sami
Babar
Harris (if fit)/Amin/Salahuddin
Asad
All rounder
Sarfaraz
Amir
Wahab
Hasan Ali/Asghar or Gohar will come in on pitches that are favourable for spinners.

Greater chance of Kashmir being solved. What India wants is for Pak to compromise on it's national interests and hand our Kashmir to them. Never gonna happen, I wouldn't give a damn even if we never played any Sport with them again. Principles and security can't be compromised. Indian soldiers killing and blinding innocent Kashmiris every day and people here are worried about playing Cricket with them!

A war is around the corner and here you're talking about a series between the two?

I know you just joined but come on man, seriously?

Let's hope the ICC awards us full points for the series they skipped, as well as some sort of other compensation. Then we can think about touring India.

That'll be even better, the majority of the crowd will support Pak :srt

Not as you think. Now the support of COMMON bd people is like 60 india-40 Pak(It was 51-49 before 2015).After some foolish act of some Pak politicians made more anti Pak sentiments among COMMON bd people. Sometimes support goes with emotions in subcontinent.

Do we really care what Bangladeshi folks think of us ?? I mean seriously - that's like the least of our problems !!

SA has asked India to tour them in 2017-18.

As per the original FTP, when were India supposed to tour SA next?

When was the last time that a pakistan tour to India has been cancelled by India

Lol.

Think Pakistan would be blanked in all formats in India on current form though.

Don't think so in tests.

India would definitely have an upper hand and I expect them to win the series, but not sure about a clean sweep. And Pakistan, regardless of however horrible they are at any moment, they generally compete much better when it comes to India.

I'm only judging by what I saw in the Asia Cup in 2016 and all the Bangladeshis I've met here in Canada have told me that while growing up during the 90s their favourite side was always Pakistan since Pak had a very exciting side and BD wasn't doing so well.

80% chances. I am saying this because this is BCCI's turn to host this series. It is a great money spinner for them.

Actually in 90s I think it was 65 pakistan-35 India support of Common people of Bangladesh. Even I was a die hard supporter of Pakistan team before emerging of bd cricket. And the stat I was saying is about COMMON cricket supporter( not die hard cricket supporter).

Pakistan is more likely to tour the Moon.

And Sri Lanka has just been bumped from a tour of South Africa, so why not play them in South Africa or Australia at minor grounds?

Use the gap in your schedule in November to January to actually prepare for the South Africa tour the following year.
