Clashes between the Pakistan Military and the Afghan Military along the Durand Line

Pakistan and Afghanistan have been clashing along the Durand Line for the past 2 days. 3 Afghan civilians have been killed in the shelling
The firing is rather heavy and have caused damage to houses on the Afghan side.
Small protests have also emerged on the Afghan side.

The British and the Russians chose not to occupy Afghanistan in the 19th century for a good reason.

The Achaemenidian Persians, the British, the Russians and the Americans realized that It’s either better to just leave the country alone or install a puppet ruler over there like the British did with Shah Shuja in the 1800s. Direct rule over Afghanistan does more harm than good.
