2019 has been a memorable year for Asian cricket nations.

India became the first Asian country to conquer Australia in January and now Sri Lanka is about to become the first Asian team to conquer Southern Afrikaan.

Now there is no team in SENA that has not been conquered by an Asian team.

And Pakistan got conquered at home by New Zealand.
SENA also has something to add up.

Now waiting for Bangladesh to conquer NZ in NZ in the upcoming Test series! ;-)

It will be amazing but given the current form NZ are a very tough team to beat at home. They even destroyed England.

Sri Lanka also beat England in England around 2015-2016 I think or a draw.

Congratulations to SL , it wasnt expected at all. Many believed that india will win against australia but SL victory has come as a big surprise. To keep cricket alive such triumphs are needed.

WI and SL have turned the tide, we are back to a strong 8 test teams tier 1.

Other 4 (BD, ZIM, IRE, AFG) are in tier 2

Pakistan should not be mentioned here at all. Sri Lankas achievements in South Africa for me triumphs India's achievements in Australia because while both Australia and South Africa are poor teams now, the South Africans were still a bit stronger at home and were in better form. The Australians in comparison had been struggling badly for a while.

Whenever an underdog wins, it feels good :)

Proud of Sri Lanka. What an achievement.

Pakistan are going through a long rough patch; but it will end and we shall bounce back :)

Goes on to show how much AB was a thorn to some sides, single handedly stopped India from winning the series.

One of the greatest test series wins and the greatest test innings of all time in the first test, it's been an incredible series.

Congratulations Sri Lankan fans.

While I agree that SL win was contextually better, I don't see the need to undermine India's victory down under.
You say Aus has been struggling for a while!!!....Aus just played one series after sandpaper incident and that was in Uae. In UAE even with poor team Aus managed to draw a test while Pak huffed and puffed for a lone test win. Aus has been thoroughly dominant at home and made short work of this victorious SL team. Aus in 2017 looked like the only team who gave India some challenge at home
In my opinion, both India and SL have done fabulously considering both spent time in 3 back to back SENA tours.

Agree with you. Not sure why people bring Pakistan into it. No doubt this is the greatest away win of all the recent ones

No comparison with India win in Aus.
We are good I know but this is just awesome by Sri Lanka. Never expected this Sri Lanka team to win a test in SA and now they won a series 2 - 0

Congratulations SL and there fans. .. :D

SL lost 2-0 in Australia just last month, and they barely managed to win even a session.

India lost 2-1 in SA too, but that was a much closer series and AB was still playing.

Fantastic performance by Sri Lanka!

Hope they can build with this team and get back to the days when they would threaten the top-3 teams at any given time.

India lost that series due to poor decisions by Kohli. I think the South Africans just took the Lankans for granted and who can blame them given Lankan's poor form and to be fair the way South Africa lost the first test gave Sri Lankans that opportunity which they pounced with both hands.

The Sri Lankans now have that injection and confidence that they can beat any side in the world if they play to their potential. Confidence triumps potential, people under estimate how much this game is all about your frame of mind.

Anticipating the return of the good times once again. Let’s do it, Asians!
