This is an old video of Hassan Ali - possibly in the UK (pre covid)

Some people on Social Media have criticized Hassan because they feel he is 'defaming' Pakistan's image - they feel that he shouldn't do such acts like this.

Question really is whether this is OK for a Pakistan cricketer - is this the type of conduct we expect?

If yes, why?
If no, why?

Dont see any problem. This actually shows Hasan Ali in positive light

Lets cricketer be themselves of the pitch

Don’t see anything wrong.

After all he is a human being too.

How in the world is there anything wrong with this? He's enjoying himself and donating to a local busker.

If displaying your personality is conduct unbecoming of a Pakistani cricketer then Hassan Ali is guilty. This is nothing more than a bit of fun and shows that Hassan doesn't take himself too seriously.

I think anyone looking to criticise should first look to the long list of current and past corrupt players in Pakistan.

Good to see no one asking for my blood for doing this thread but reason for this is that there is some comments on Social Media about this so wanted to gauge the opinion here.

When you aren't performing as a player fans will analyse and be critical of anything you do in your social life. It is unfair as players are entitled to a social life. It is the world we live in right now. Very sad.

He's not doing anything wrong whatsoever, he's just enjoying himself. Let him, he's a young man who likes to have fun. Nothing wrong.

I'm sad that this is even being discussed here.

What issue is there to begin with?

Good on Hassan, good act and gesture here.

STOP IT with these absurd questions.

Absolutely nothing wrong with Hasan having fun, and really doing whatever he wants to. He doesn't work for YOU

Stop being so high and mighty. SAD!

Sad that some in the media giving him a hard time over this.

He's not flavour of the month with some mediawalas.

Is there anything that this guy does that is not conduct unbecoming?

It actually shows him positively, helping street performers of UK and also enjoying what their talent possesses

I guess fans as well as media gives too much attention to off field activities and statements. As far as they can deliver on the field we shouldnt be looking into their off field activities too much unless its something unethical or completely against the cultural norms. Its only coming into limelight because Hassan has struggled with fitness and didnt do well in WC 19.

Cricketer of 90s had pretty colorful lives off the field but I dont think so anybody had any issues maybe because they were performing on the field more often than not rather some people say they had attitude and personalities which many of our current players lack. Now when some of current young guys try to express himself within the define ethics people start to have problems and judge them on different basis.

How dare he enjoy life as a Pakistani cricketer. He should strive for a mediocre career, grow a big beard in retirement to become a pundit on tv to criticize others or become a selector to select future mediocre players.

No, the pathetic post is from you, who hasn't understood the context of the thread and opening post.

What the OP is getting at is the stick that Hassan has got from some for this video.

So before going around calling posts pathetic, understand the context first.

He is allowed to have fun, it’s not like he’s getting arrested at the Dubai airport for possession :))

If people think this is unbecoming of a cricketer they should check out David Warner's Tik Tok

This was such an harmless act.

What next? Players not allowed to smile public?

The only "bad" thing from Pakistani society perspective I can see, is him dancing along a lady. However, he didn't itend to seduce her by his dancing and she was probably a random bystander, who jumped in.

Odd question. Athletes dance all the time. He's a sportsman not some shaykh.

So that everyone is clear about the reason for this thread

1. The issue has been raised in the Social Media
2. I am not taking any position on the right and wrong of this issue
3. I am merely asking for opinions and you are all free to state that

Social media will turn even the purest of things into evil. That's how social media is, if you start discussing everything on social media there would not be an end.

This is non issue and should be ignored.
